In the past couple of days I have seen a Nissan R35 GTR roaming my local streets. I must say it is a very fine looking beast! For some of you this might not be a biggie but where I am I don't see many flash cars so this is a treat. Btw it is black too.
Has anyone else seen one of these babies?

There are a couple running around where I live. Since Oklahoma got the Thunder, a lot more car enthusiasts have been sprouting up, making Oklahoma City a melting pot for hot cars.... which is odd if you've ever been here.

Within the past 5 years, more Lambos, Ferraris, Lotus(es? i?) have sprouted up. I personally know of a lady in Norman who demanded that her husband return the Cadillac XLR-V to the dealership because it attracted too much damn attention.

He did so, and now she's running around in a McClaren SLR. Well, she did, till they sold it at Barrett-Jackson and got her a new purple one.

Plus, we've also got a company in Bethany, OK producing Eleanor Mustangs, straight from Gone in 60 Seconds (remake, not the original), only unlike Unique Performance, this one was cleared of any wrongdoing and is completely legit.

There's also a Neuro- doctor (retired) with a decent Ferrari collection, and he occassionally lets his high school baseball players take them out as a reward. Nice guy, but his gift sometimes backfires.

If you like what you're seeing in the GT-R, and want more, start getting involved in your local street racing/auto enthusiast scene. The results may shock and amaze you like they did me.

Actually let's not.

Track days and the like are better suggested as they are legal.

I pick my gtr up today but it's only a r33 so an old one but still a gorgeous car and goes well

I never suggested in participating, but here we've got several cruising strips, where kids get together and cruise around before heading out to do the illegal stuff.

Let's not turn this into that debate, cuz that's way off topic and way too controversial.

The point of the post was to encourage him to check out his local scene, whatever it may be. I agree about track days, and can recommend looking into the SCCA in your area, or even the Porsche Club of America (their events around here are epic). Google is your friend here.

Open track days is a great place to see some of the nicest rides on the roads today 👍 Thats where you see anything from standard cars to fully tuned track machines.

Indeed, and some drivers will even let you ride shotgun, provided the sanctioning body allows it. Around here, the SCCA does, so long as you borrow one of their helmets for the ride.

I work at a Nissan dealership up in Canada here. We just sold a brand new 2012 GTR. Black paint on black rims on black leather interior. Whew its a nice looking car.

Too bad they are purely special order cars only at our dealership.

Please move this to the other forum if it doesnt have anything towards GT5 👍 ( Cars in General) .

Haha no. It was only on our lot for a day being detalied and then it was gone. Wish I did just take a picture though its not a very regular occurance. Only second time in a year I've seen one there. :(

I know a guy who knows a guy with a GTR, he was parked outside my house for a while.

I heard a car passing the other night and it sounded really good, it might have been a highly tuned evo, it's exhaust was popping like gunshots at about 4am!

My friend has an evi VI or IV or V, can't remember! And my other friend has a WRX STI UK version, think its a 05 or 06 model.
