My latest project is an infiniti G35 coupe/ Skyline 350 GT Coupe. Settings are in the drift depot now.

Remember guys, not settings in general please, see first post:nervous: Sorry.
Otherwise this thread will go off topic and will have to be closed.

So far it's far from perfect, but I have to sleep now so here is where I left off if anyone is curious.

Nissan Silvia K's (S13) '88

woah, your car is very shiney. looks like i need to take mine to the car wash... a few hundred times.

identti
They run specialist tyres designed specifically for drifting.
no, there are no tires designed specificaly for drifting. the only tire with drift in mind is made by kumho, and was run by enjuku's S13's(the red smoke tire).
besides that, they all run high preformance street tires that can handle heat.
let me start up gt4 and ill get my s13 settings off of my card.

Gotta realize that was a real lucky shot, I did nothing to get that reflection, washed the car 2 times now after using it for 10 runs.

dang, i like never wash any of my cars. ever.

I sometimes do it to pretend I love my drift car:p Or after I had a good run and happen to look for rims....I'll wash it in between;)

Edit: BTW notice how I didn't focus on the back of the car where the smoke comes from, it ruines the picture if you focus on smoke...trust me.

yesssssss i just found a wingless coupe. im about to transfer some settings over...
rims are like a first thing to get for me. most stockers are ugly.
Edit: Bummer. dont guess ill be using a wingless coupe after all. i know it was low hp Q's version, but i didnt think it would suck THIS bad. has like no torque.
back to my winged coupe.
oh well.

Yeah I chose the BBS rims, the second last I think it was. On a black car it looks fantastic:tup:

Looks like, no one, really hit it up on the Trueno idea...,

Ill see if i can get some guide lines regarding settings on the net today, and ill chop up some "realistic" settings to see how the car performs... and ill make it roughly around 250-300HP.

Just letting you guys experiment too I dont wanna handle 3 projects all alone;)

If that is so, why are there 2 AWD Impreza's in the field from Taka Kaira? ;)

You're wrong man.. I've seen a video of the ADVAN car, and it is AWD!
thoes are NOT AWD
both of thoes sti's are converted to RWD.

I really wanna convert cars in GT5 from AWD to RWD.....I love subaru's in FR like drifts:drool: But it's almost impossible, because they just shouldn't be drifted as FR:indiff:

if anyone can understand japanese, heres a vid of the yukes imprezza. it has some pics, specs, and vid of it in action.
they say they use a sequential hollinger 6 speed trans, which i can guarantee isnt setup for AWD use.
http://subaru-wrx-sti.com/web/NASIOC/D1WRX/YukeCuscoAdvanImpreza.wmv
also, as you can see they are using advan neovas for the imprezza(street tire in japan, we dont get the same neovas in the states)

hmm weird, i didnt notice that post was like last night. oh well. still a decent video.
ok now for my Silvia settings...
Car-91 Nissan Silvia K's
oil change
Sports exhaust(why didnt i get race exhaust... i have no clue)
sports chip
N2 Tires
stage 2 turbo
race brakes
brake controller
triple plate clutch
race flywheel
carbon driveshaft
2way lsd
stage 2 weight reduction
Chassis refresh FIRST, THEN add the cage in.
all of this should give you somewhere close to 261 hp(i have 261, havent changed my oil in a while, so your hp may vary by 2-10 hp)
------------
Settings
Suspension (F/R)
Springrate 8/6
Ride Height 94/97
Shock Bound 3/3
Shock Rebound 3/3
Camber 3.5/1.7
Toe 0/0
Stabillizers 1/1

Driver Aids 0/0/0
Brake controller 8/20
Transmission - set it up for each track. i just left mine stock and put the auto at 10.

it has low hp, but it drifts good. it you need, up it to 300 or so hp by adding upgrades like port n polish, eng balance, etc. dont up the turbo, i feel it has good response where it is. but of course this is just advise, do what you like.
hope someone likes these settings. they are for DFP.

Its cool to see this thread is a bit popular for a short time now, hope it'll stay up. First time I ever began tuning a car seriously, and it's the first time I notice that my car handles far stickier on El Capitan than on Midfield....so that confirms I really fine tuned my car in some way;)

Cya guys gotta get some sleep. I think my sivlia is finished btw I changed some tiny things but I dont think it can be improved much more. I'll pick another car soon.

You know... I set up all my cars to realistic specs and settings... So in essence, all of my cars are "inspired" by real cars... I drift in real life, so this comes somewhat naturally...

However, I do have a few cars that I set up to be as near to the actual vehicles settings as possible... My own car is one of them (although a different engine), '93 Nissan 240SX Coupe (S13 Silvia K's '88 in GT4)... So I can post up those settings in a few days (busy lately)...

;)

You do DR?? THATS cool:tup::crazy: I would love to have a drift car when I will choose a car when I'm 18 or 19 or soemthing like that.

I do indeed... For a few years now... However, I've been going to autocross/rallycross events for years, in various vehicles...

Check out my sig, for pics of my car, and updates of it's progress... Right now the car is awaiting finishes to the body work (been waiting a long time!), and I have some nice coilovers sitting in my garage with nowhere to go (until the body work is finished)...

I will post my sort-of-close-to-my-real-car (not very) settings, tomorrow...

;)

well, shouldn't realistic settins be around stock-300hp?

Well the subject right now is realistic settings, but just get a car you set up because you were inspired by something and it belongs here.

And D1GP cars for example have 400BHP and the HKS Silvia even 470BHP (ingame) and well.....it's whether you were inspired by a stock car or a tuned car. But all of those are in real life and so, it's the challenge to replicate the settings as close as you can to those cars:tup:

Come on guys, lol you never saw a video where you thought "oh that car is beautifull I want the exact same car"? Thats what this is based on really;)

Edit: *Sigh* just waiting for this to get moved 37058 pages back again......no one seems interested...:guilty:

Oke, my mistake about the AWD in D1GP. You were right ;)
But, I'm still gona finish my Lancer though, nothing is gonna stop me now!

hye gt4 fan im interested in this thread i just got some coilover damper settings from my friends 240sx with a sr20 swap and jic flta coilovers

Here's a link to the specs of the current drivers in the D1GP (Japanese only)..

The power ranges from about 170 to around 750 with the average probably being around the 400 mark.

One of the drifters in the Australian series drives a 1000RWHP Commodore Ute!

The average there would also definately be over 400HP. Also, I think the power ratings on all these links would have been generated from a dyno, so, this is power at the wheels whereas in the game power is taken from the engine. I believe the high power is due to the tyres used on the track.

In relation to GT4, N tyres are road tyres built to last for over 40,000km's of normal driving, therefore, they use a hard compound rubber for longevity and have low grip. In game, just like a grip setup, a drift setup should still have a good tyre/power combo..

Power generally depicts style.. and money.. lol

well, im running on a budget because I just by a car and set it up by just the suspension and etc, so my range of HP is stock-300 and Im thinkin on just doin a stock drifting in IRL if possible.

ok so i used my friends coilover settings but i used original suspension because i feel it mimicks a real car the most anyways here are some settings
88 silvia

springs 10 12
shock absorber 6 8
ride height 110 110
camber 2 3.5
stabilizer 5 5
parts to buy orig turbo sport exhaust n2 tires chip p&p balance 2 way lsd chassis refresh and cage
i tired to get itto put but i was un successful i will keep working on it and post my progress :)

Seems like Silvia's are the popular cars here:tup:

Your friend is using 3.5 degrees of camber in the back, and only 2.0 degrees in front?... I find that a little hard to believe... Camber should ALWAYS be greater in the front, than the rear...

The rest looks good though... 10/12kg coilovers on an S13? Wow, he must have buns of steel...

;)

man this game really sucks i hate to be so negative about it but after playing other games this isn't even fun .. yeah he has buns of steel lol.. i dunno maybe ill come back to the game i almost wanna sell it... bc i feel i was cheated by pd .. im so angry with the game that i would prolly knock kaz on his butt if i saw him out side they downgraded when they developed this game gt3 was much more fun ... on a lighter note how can i get more push thru each turn i drift .. any suggestions dr ?

Higher LSD accel setting is my immediate suggestion... Raising the LSD accel provides more useable grip, which allows you to push the car through the turn with the throttle, instead of burning through your tires... A higher rear spring rate/stabilizer will help put that grip to better use mid corner, as well...

Oh, and settle down... It's not that bad... There are definitely flaws, but it's a great game once you figure out the differences in the physics (to GT3), and how to fix/balance those differences...

;)
