BlazinXtremeAh alright, some of the other things I've been reading said that they graphed two 6 cylinders together. Which does and doesn't seem right. I can't think of two engines that would even make 6.9L.
EmohawkMercedes' 6L V12 can be enlarged that much. Both AMG (in the very limited SL73 AMG) and Pagani use it at 7.3L, and another German tuner has even pushed it out to 7.4. (edit: Carlsson)
So if it is that engine, why stop at 6.9?![]()
TaurineI'd be more impressed with 2500+ hp.
plus itll sound nice! for once a Japanese car that doesnt fartlive4speedAs said a couple of times before, the main reasons for the V12 is it's lighter and provides better weight distribution and it can run that power at a lower boost under far less stress.
What is the maximum recorded HP in a car? Ive seen a 1300bhp skyline but thats it, anything higher? Anyone know?
neanderthalthere is no way this engine is lighter as a quad turbo V12 than nissans RB26.
it has twice as many bigger pistons, a second head, and if my memory serves me correctly from beng a mercedes mechanic a long time ago, the M120 engine has a backup alternator, dual water pumps, dual everything.
try again buster.
BlazinXtremeHuh I'm coming up with both.
I managed to find the old thread on GTP about it.

Layla's KeeperWhat I find hysterical is that Nissan was experimenting with a V12 towards the end of their days in GTP competition with an aim to compete in the 3.5L World Championship of Makes (that was dominated by the Peugeot 905)

But, according to Nissan the engine made only 630hp and was the biggest liability of their P35 GTP/Group C racer. When the Japanese recession hit, Nissan killed the program.
So oddly enough there is a Nissan V12.
