Realistic Damage?

Yeah, I picked up GT5 when it came out at the end of 2010, played it for about a month, then shelfed it til yesterday and figured "why not see if there's a community discussing the handful of issues I'm having with the game!" Thanks everyone for info about the damage, and to lewis_hamilton thanks for the heads-up on the A-spec info! I can't be the only one at least a little preturbed that only a handful of cars in the game get the super-awesome destruction they were marketing out the ass before release. I mean if you want anything more than a smudge you have to use a premium car, so that narrows it down to about 20% of the entire selection (as far as I understand there are about 1000 cars in the game, 800 standard and 200 premium), and only a handful of those get the most detailed level of destruction. So, just like GT3 and 4, I can happily smash into whatever/whoever I want with virtually no consequence - that's what I assumed the damage/wrecking mechanic would be, an incentive to drive properly.

This, like the lack of cockpit view for the majority of the cars (but wait! Thanks to a recent update you can have an all-black cardboard cutout cockpit! Thanks PD.), gives the game a highly unfinished feel, to me anyway. I paid top-dollar for this title and was expecting all the features they were marketing at the time. Why aren't more people pissed about this?

"top dollar" :dopey: man 60 bucks isint to hard to come by... 3 mowed lawns.. "top dollar" :)
