Due to some update, the ability to change steering sensitivity had been included. You could turn it up to 7, where you'll encounter this:Warning-loud music ahead

^^^not my video - which seems unrealistic in terms of human capability and wheel usage

or you can turn it down to one, which is extremely slow, but stable.

Either extreme seems unrealistic, so what steering sensitivity is closest to what is capable with a wheel?

That music was really, really anoying. I dom't see how the video is unrealistic, as there are stunt drivers who can do simular things with their cars.

Edit, Just watched it again I think your talking about how the tires is changing direction rapidily while drifting right? Yeah that doesn't look right.

Depends on the car,but should be pretty slow.I reckon this function is more for DS3 users as my G27's steering sensitivity seemed to vary from car to car.If you want realism though get a wheel.

Ds3 drifting always looks slightly odd since most people don't even try to hold a smooth angle but rather tap the stick all the way or completely straight.

OK8

Try to do a full lock with a 900 degree wheel in an instant.
Try not doing a full lock with a DS3 in fast paced situations.

Now that one thing is answered let's not bash on Japanese Eurobeat.
If you find it annoying you don't know better.

Have you see Rally cars at all?
Their turning radius are extreme.

for those of us who don't have a choice I think it works brilliantly for sitting in a front room but unless you feel your ds3 isn't steering quick enough I would leave it for consistancey, after all we managed for 4 gran turismo's

I have only played since late after gt4 was released but Id bet a hefty some most people used controller before gt5

I'm not sure steering "sensitivity" is the right word for the adjustment.

"Ratio" seems to be more accurate, since it appears to be a travel input (at the controller or wheel) and resulting travel output at the front wheels.

At the higher settings you get more output to the ratio of input, hence the very fast center to full lock as evidenced by your video.

IMO to answer the question, a setting of 0 or less would be the more realistic side of the scale.

No, you don't know better if you find that **** good. Shouldn't even be called music in the first place, lol. You weren't talking to me, I know, but whoever finds that "music" annoying has the right to say so.

Now let's get back to topic...

Driving a car with a DS3 is unrealistic...

As if driving a car on an emulative TV screen is realistic? :boggled:

Just as the label implies: "The real driving simulator"

Its really similar, but a long long ways from "realistic".

Let's not say that a DS3 is not realistic. For some, that's the only option for which to play GT5.

It might be the "only option", but it's not realistic. If I control a spacecraft with the Donkey Konga drums for a spaceship simulator, is it realistic if it's the only option? He's not saying they shouldn't use a dual shock, he's just saying there's no way it can be made accurately representative of driving a car.
