I have raced superspeedway endurance like 10 times and have not gotten the formula car. Is there any easier way to get one? I dont have my S license yet so...

Do the Dream Car Championship or the Polyphany Digital Cup. Save after the 2nd to last race. If you don't win an F1 just shut off your system and keep doing the last race over until you do. Much easier than doing an endurance over and over.

Yes, you need the S license for both the Dream Car and the Polyphony Cup.

Every one of the endurance races can give you an F1 car, and that's the only way to win an F1 car if you don't have the S License.

The Dream Car & Super Speedway give you the F090/S -- the worst F1 car. The Polyphony Cup takes longer, but gives you the F094/S -- the best F1 car.

I guess I've been lucky then. I've managed to win no less than 6 F1 cars and only have a duplicate colour once. I'm getting quite a collection now and think I will shoot for one in every colour combination and power type.

Same here. I've got four. I win them when I wanted something else.

Definitely. I'm doing the Formula GT series in one right now and the F094 is tough to beat. It's obviously the slowest one of all (the F090 that is). But I'm still winning. The hardest were Apricot Hill and Tokyo where top speed matters a lot. Actually I lost to the F094 at Apricot Hill and just barely took Tokyo on the second try. Looking forward to trying it out in another one.

The F090/S isn't that bad...definately not the worst.

I'm not really trying to get too much into opinion here. The F090/S has over 100 HP less than any other F1 car. It's obviously far worse than the other NA F1 cars, and it has such low power that it's generally dead last when people post lap times. Two of the turbo F1's have over 200HP more than that F090/S. The only thing that's even close to being as slow as the F090/S is the F688/S, which only has 104HP more. It handles OK, but just can't compete with the others. Anybody who's ever run the Formula GT has seen the F090/S in dead last by a large margin every race.

I saw a post somewhere by NoQuarter that had a breakdown of all the F-1 cars, and it was backed up by tons of lap times. The F090/S is the worst.

well since were on the subject of f1's and some people dont know good they are ill setup a list of the "best" ones

f/094 s
f/094 h
f/686 m
f/090 s
f/688 m
f/687 s

thats just based on like midfeild times i guess

I'm not going to sit here and argue about it. I thought it was common knowledge that the F090/S was the worst F1 car. If you don't agree, I encourage you to look through the relevant "LOOK HERE BEFORE YOU ASK" threads. Or poke around the gt3times.com forums. Or just try some races with each.

I'm really wondering where you could've possibly gotten that list, though.

To repeat myself, NoQuarter had a good post on this at the GameFaqs forum:

I'm the Race Admin for the Formula Gran Prix at the GTF...So far, we've run 3 seasons of this series, and have pretty much worked out which F1 cars are the best.

The best overall F1 car is a tossup between the NTSC F094/s and the PAL Poly 001. The F094/h runs a close second, but extensive testing shows that the 094/s has slightly better tire wear and handling than the 094/h...

The F686/m is the most powerful F1 car, and cannot be touched by the 094 cars or the Poly 001 at Super Speedway or the Test Course. But on the more technical tracks, the 8 year difference in suspension technology developement really shows, with poorer handling and tire wear characteristics. Also, because it is a turbo 6, it requires very exacting throttle control to avoid the problems with Turbo lag and over rev...

Next is the 687. It doens't have as much HP as the 686 and only slightly better handling tire wear, so it gives way to the 686.

Next, is the 688 and it's PAL counterpart, the Poly 002. These two cars represent the middle performance capabilty of the F1 cars, with lower HP than the 094/001 cars and similar handling/tire wear to the 686/687...

Finally, the F090/s. This little car has much better handling than the 68 series and the Poly 002, but is so far down the HP chart that it is freqently the back marker for all but the very best drivers...

To summerize the F1 rankings:

F094/s & Poly 001
F094/h
F686/m
F687/s
F688/s & Poly 002
F090/s

When I use the F1 cars in GT3, which is not that often anymore, I use the F094/S for low speed tracks, like Blue Coast, and I use the 686 for the high speed tracks, like Test Course.:D

Yeah, but just reload, no need to restart the PS2 again, that takes an extra 30 seconds... :p
