Reason for 2 Different Vipers?

i was wondering... havent seen this topic covered and if it is. im dearly sorry.

but i was wondering if anyone knows what is the reason for there being 2 Different Team Oreca Vipers on Gran Turismo 3. on the PAL and NTSC-J Version have the number 51 playstation Chrysler Viper and that the NTSC - U/C has the the 91 Dodge Viper without the playstation logo on it? what is the reason for this?

Daan, is that a AutoArt model? Looks like it. My 1/18th scale AutoArt 2003 Bentley EXP Speed 8 model would beat that viper in a Race.

I think the reason is the Viper is sold in America as a Dodge, and (maybe) it is sold as a Chrysler overseas. As for the Playstation logo, I have no idea. So, any clues why there are Opels and Vauxhalls anyone?

daan: I'd hang onto that, from what I here there aint that many 1:18 Oreca Vipers out there, but if you want to sell it, contact Prancing Horse, as he's building a collection of Vipers 👍

OFF TOPIC: It's been a while since I've played a good Megaman game. Last one I bought was Megaman 8 for Playstation 1.
 
It's similar in the V8 Supercars. Some of the drivers can have their own sponsors which they put on the cars. Some teams have an entirely different paintjob for each driver. That's my guess
 
hmm but the question is why would the have it different on the NTSC U/C compared to PAL and NTSC J... will anyone solve the answer to this? lol :lol:

Funny that 'cos they didn't have the one I ordered, but sent me that one instead.

I'd better keep dusting it then! :D

They, www.alexreade.net, had 2 red Vipers with the stripes. They didn't have any, and couldn't get one, of the one I ordered, which I think was the 51 Viper (which which also fits nicely into this thread.)

I can't collect these cars just yet. I'm affraid my boys would use them to play with.
