So in the last month or so, sometimes my DS4 will just entirely disconnect from my base PS4, and will be entirely unresponsive - including the PS button - until I completely shut off the PS4 and then turn it back on. Now, this particular DS4 is quite old, as I recall buying it sometime during GT Sport's life, so I wonder if that's the case. I've also heard it could be the PS4 overheating but I highly doubt that's my case, as this controller has disconnected when I haven't been playing that long, plus I'm in a relatively cool room.
My next plan is to see if maybe this particular DS4 is having a hard time keeping a charge. Indeed, when I'm done playing, I've often been turning the system off rather than leaving it on standby mode, and I know the latter allows controller charging. If the problem persists, I might just get a new DS4, though I'd hate for it to be something wrong with the PS4 itself.
Any thoughts?
