Recent Video of Volvo 850 Turbo at the Nürburgring!

I think you gave the wrong link... thge video I got is only 27 seconds long and is juts a Volvo accelerating from 145km/h to 245km/h on what loks to be the autobahn.
 
Ok, I saw the first one, and I´m dowloading the second now. That thing is fast!
 
I'm not sure if it is the same car because I'm not finished downloading the video but I've seen a vid of a turbo Volvo gassing it up on the street and spinning the wheels in third gear. That was seriously quick. It made me go a and look through the classifieds for a 850R.

Edit: That thing makes some noise! 👍 It says October 2004 though, I thought there was some sort of in-car video ban on the Nurburgring. Can anyone confirm if they've heard the same thing.

No problem but when I have time I will post some of the best videos you will ever see! Thats when I have time or become not too lazy. I got tons of videos but I cant share them because the person who hosts them requested that I dont put links on any sites. :( And I dont have any type of hosting thing either.

My computer is currently down at the moment (I'm doing this on my parents computer) and even if it was up I don't have a host but I've got about 12.5GB worth of car vids. More than a quarter of my HD is car videos.

Cheers mate, as soon as I got 100 posts I changed to her pic immediately. It is probably no coincidence that my wallpaper is also Elisha. :lol:
 
Awesome vid. I'd really like to like to see what does the front tires look like after the ride... :p

I'm quite used to this sound at full throttle(well, a bit more restricted), and that behavior in curves when pushed hard. But those days will soon be over, I'm selling my T5 soon... :(

How much power does a stock T5 have? And how much is a good condition one worth?

240hp stock, and one in a good condition from 98 should be in the $12-15k Can range, and I've seen some selling for even lower prices. Given the performance and the level of equipment of the car, it's quite a deal for a great sleeper. I paid mine $19k Can in the beginning of 2002, with less than 50k miles on it, wich really was a good deal.

I'd also give a look for a manual AWD T5R wagon from 98-00.

I'm getting off topic but I really really want a R or T5 Volvo and none of my friends can understand it. Why would would I want a Volvo which is fast, safe, roomy, reliable and relatively cheap when I could have a generic Honda Civic or a Nissan Skyline like everyone else.

Didn't it say that the Volvo vid was done in October? Either the ban was made only very recently, the ban has been revoked (I hope) or people are still making videos (I also hope).
 
In-car filming is banned however a lot of drivers are sneaking around it.
TBH, Im quite dissappointed with that Volvo video as its very poor quality and the driving was less exciting to watch. 👎
 
Poor quality? I thought it was great man maybe you clicked on the wrong video or something. Driving was not exciting? Are you mad that was some driving there if you ask me man.
