Not really sure what you mean by rave, but judging by the songs you listed it seems to be hardcore dance/ edging on neurofunk, I dont have anything with that sort of style really, but I can offer some reasonably similar inspirational DnB, hope you enjoy it :), has got me though many a tight race

THAT! But it's better at replays, you know...

EDIT: Randomness WIN!

Oh! and BTW check 'Round the bend's tunes. Maybe not masterpieces, but works for me!

Forget the rest, just go back to the best - 1993 to 1995 was when the best trance tunes were made, that was when the people making them weren't affected by profits / commercialism. Anything after 1996 doesn't count, it became far to commercial and the charts were full of so called 'trance' that was utter bollocks. Try these, back in the early 90's they were destroying dancefloors like nothing else - I know, I went to enough clubs, parties, 'raves' and gatherings then, if you didn't or weren't clubbing around that time, you simply won't understand, you needed to see what happened when these tunes were dropped - in person, then you'd understand.

Greatest trance tune ever - made by some Aussie's in '93

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPvhUpnocx0&feature=related

A close second - monster of a tune, one of the first and best to have the all time classic acid riff

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hFgr4tVes0

Another classic that lifted the roof

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bdvx7AFsKrk

And this just brought the house down, everytime and every place it was dropped

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yi4L3m9bjkc&feature=related

Another classic

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9z_b9sZU7k

And another

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRAxij_VrOE&feature=related

More..

Another mighty tune from '93 that just drove you crazy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTj2Lzywnos

Euro classic

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9_y6PvL_7Q&feature=related

Another Euro classic

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cILjqRLduWg&feature=related

And another Euro classic

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H12ElubGPGo&feature=related

A great comedown trance tune from '92

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gocee0RWvho

Finally, this tune just turned everyone into crazy, bouncing dancing machines, classic

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbVpw1U_rD8

The trance scene died in 1997 when it became fashionable, the big record companies jumped on it, the charts were flooded with tunes labelled trance so they'd sell, they got played in the commercial clubs, then all the lager louts went 'raving'. That was it, game over. What happened between 88 and 95 was unique, never to be repeated again, also the tunes were made by people who were experimenting, those who were actually clubbing and raving and who knew what was going on and what was needed in a tune. Nowadays, there's nothing original and new, it was all done before 1996 - just check out the comments from people for these tunes on Youtube if you don't believe me.

A couple of tunes since then are worth it, namely this one - simply an awesome bit of music

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-r58xH3YbBk

I have to say this is also a stomper, even if it is from '99 and it's not really trance, but that's what people call it nowadays I guess..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiJMXd8z6Dw

I know alot of people will scream - these tunes are ACID TECHNO, really, funny how back in 93-95 they were the top tunes I was hearing at 'trance' nights then innit - where were you back then???

Old skool rules (pre '97), never to be repeated, never to be forgotten....

Oh wow I'm surprised no one said Darude - Sandstorm...

Good job, people. 👍 I don't recommend Sandstorm whatsoever...

I do however, recommend Initial D; specifically for corner-heavy tracks, like Gravity for example.

Nothing zones me out (in a good way) like Tool. For trance like songs, Tool did their best with Disposition, and Reflection. These songs are meant to be played back to back.

Anything from a Euphoria album or most of the stuff produced by Ministry of Sound.

Dave Pierce has mixed some mega sweet trance. Check that out, it's good stuff.

Gravity is from Lucky Star.
