I'm currently looking for recordings of old F1 races - preferrably the Senna and early Schumacher era. Yet, haven't had much luck on YouTube and even if I had luck, the quality was abysmal.

I'd gladly pay for DVDs or BluRays. Any ideas on where to get something like that? Asking here because I'm after a reliable shop / website and prefer feedback to google hits.

ESPN Classic (free on Sky TV) has recently been showing highlights of late 70's, early 80's seasons. Don't know if they mention anything about them on their website about been able to view them online or buy on DVD.

A lot of the footage is pit/paddock stuff which is great to see, especially with it being far less corporate and sterile than it is now 👍

Alright, cheers guys.

daan: I didn't mean like compared to HD - crappy compared to the normal quality back then. :)

Get the Formula One 19xx/20xx Season Reviews DVD's. They are nice if you want to know what happened that specific season. You can buy the dvd's at amazon and other shops.

I googled and this showed up. I would ask TWICE if they are legally selling this, I see no reference to FOM :odd:

Given that they use wikipedia entries a lot and the fact that the website labels them free of customs and duties as they will be a "gift", I'm guessing it's not legal.

Still tempting though.

ESPN Classic is great, watched the '74 and '84 British GP on Sunday Evening, great stuff. 👍

I watched the '74 and '75 British GP's last night

I recorded a whole bunch of races/championship that they were showing over the weekend of the Brazilian GP - my whole planner is full of the stuff now :dopey:
