I was thinking about how much better GT5 would be if GT5 had the FIA GT Series. Then I realized that the race mods are technically the FIA GT cars. Think about it. The ZR1 RM looks almost like the C6R. The TVR RM looks identical to the TVR T400 (A TVR Speed 6 Race Car) The IS F RM looks the like IS F race car Kaz raced in the 2010 24h of Nurburgring. The list goes on. The point is if GT5 had every Premium car race modifiable, we can have almost all of the FIA GT cars. That would be great! A DB9 RM can be the DBR9. The F430 RM can be the F430 LM Race car. PD, please just give us more RMs. All it is, is front downforce & a number. This will shut the GT5 community up for DLC for the rest of 2011 and all you have to do is give 183 (17 RMs already) Premium cars a little option that gives the car front downforce, a number, and a wide body kit. How much more simpler can it get?

I believe for PD to include FIA replica cars they would need to be licensed. The RM cars could be expanded on but there are more important things that fans want implemented, like a generic cockpit view for all standards.

I disagree. I would love, and I mean LOVE to have a replica of the DBR9, M3 GT2, Z3 GT3, SLS GT3, the Gallardo racer, even that mean huge MINI that ran the Nurburgring 24h this year and so on. And as a few of them are licensed to others (M3 GT2 to EA, what a shame!!), that would be a perfect substitute. I want that!!!
I tried getting the existing premiums to look a bit like their racing counterparts, but no can do. Mostly because of the missing wide body racing kits and missing aero parts. And a M3 GT4 (which you can do by painting it white and put a litlle spoiler on) doesn't make me dream as much as the GT2, winner of last year's Nurb 24h.

I have built 6 FIA GT1 cars using the production versions tuned to 585 PP. At this level, on racing hard tires, the cars are fun to drive and very competitive with each other.

If you look at the current FIA GT1 (world) website, you'll see the current lineup of cars, and you can find the production cars they are based on in the New Car Dealership.

Here are some of my examples

That Viper is one too many.

And, this may just blow your mind, PD was working on new FIA GT and DTM cars for GT5 that were the first to go when they were forced to release the game 'early'. We've just got to wait and see if they come back in patch or DLC form.

Source ?

Also if GT5 had a livery editor and more strict online regulation (like being able to select which part can be used on cars)...

Race Ready =/= Race Mod.

Be nice if this happened, but as it stands without RM'ed DB9, GT-R, Ford GT, Viper, F430, RUF, Gallardo and Murcielago(and any I'm missing) to go with the Vette it's no good.

Tuned up non-race cars don't cut it(not that they can't be enjoyed in substitute). If PD creates RM versions of all the premiums(at least all the ones that are actually raced), let alone actual FIA-GT race cars, I'd be happy as a pig in slop.

And count me in for wanting a Mini racecar, but I want mine to have flames on it. :P Hell, even a non-RM'ed Mini with flames on it would be close enough for a Continental Tire car.

Yeah, the Viper isn't one of the 2011 GT1 cars, but we had more people than cars, so we added it and this Ferrari too.

Each car was evaluated for competition before allowing them to be added to our races.

@Corpsey - I agree that being able to RM these cars would add authenticity to our races, but we can't. So, we did what we could do. Make them as close as possible and enjoy the races.

Hopefully they will add the GT1 cars or even the RM's. I find it odd NFS has more GT cars than a game called GT actually has

They already did it, it's called GT PSP. :sly:

I wonder why PD don't just add a generic interior for those cars that have body kits already; front downforce, Car number and there we go.

They could give every Premium car a race mod option within 2 months. The task is simple. Im pretty sure it doesnt take much effort to give 183 cars front downforce & a number with slight body modifications.
