Yes and no. Spa and Monza got golds after about 20 tries on each. But, Suzuka, love that track, but finding it had to get into a rhythem around there in the fan car. Got bronze, got the car. But i going to try and get gold later today.

far too easy. I cant see how its really vettel we are racing as it is not a time trial. on gt5, you race the ghost car which was vettel setting his best time.that was hard. I only managed to gold Monza. in gt6 it is not a ghost car and every lap he does is different. I golded them all 1st time.

Yeah. Since his car is no longer ghosted you can get his slipstream which also makes the races much easier, especially to overtake him.

Just had another go at Monza to grind some money, bit you only get the prize money once.:irked:

It's better to grind the standard x2014 campionship, with 200% login bonus you will earn almost 2,9 million ;)

Just golded all 3 within the first 2 goes.

Car is excellent, ai less so.

The only challenge, once acquainted with the car, is passing the ai. Then staying in front and getting away before he punts you of the track.

Since I got all three races gold in GT5, getting gold in all three races in GT6 shouldn't be any problem then from what I read here. Shame, I expected a challenge :-(.

I silvered Spa in my first attempt, but could not get gold. Today, I led Vettel by .7 seconds for the entire second lap. As I braked for the chicane before the finish, the bastard cut the chicane, jumped the curb, and knocked me into the wall!!! I almost threw my wheel through the TV.

Yeah, I had the AI divebombing me at the Suzuka chicane. One moment I'm half a second in front, taking all the corners pretty smooth and quick, next thing... BAM. Of course, that was after overtaking the AI around turn 2 at the very start. Good ol' nonsensical GT AI.

Easiest run I was having was when I pushed him off the circuit through the esses. Next split... 11 seconds ahead. "Sweet, don't have to worry about him ramming me off this time." Of course I went on to put a wheel on the grass and that attempt was all over.

Way too easy, we should have a difficulty setting with payouts based on difficulty. I was actually quite disappointed with how easy the entire Red Bull series was.

Am I the only one who absolutely despises Silverstone? It just all looks exactly the same, I can't ever tell which bit I'm in and what corner is coming up, especially at these Red Bull speeds...

You have to split it into two sections, separated by the second straight that kind of looks like the front straight. How many laps have you done on the track? Try driving something slower around a few laps to learn the track.

I'm definitely going to have to grind on it for a while. There are just so few visual cues to respond to.

You're just not familiar with it, once you do a bunch of laps, you'll see the clues. Just take something slower around a bunch of times...

...but you don't need to.

You'll get the money by beating the time, not by beating Vettel. It's actually easier to let Vettel get a few seconds up the road (which he'll do at the start anyway) and ignore him, concentrating on your own lines. If you happen to be faster than him, by all means overtake, but don't waste time fighting him.

As for the original question - is it too easy to get gold? No. I golded them all within a few tries, but the less I have to drive that :censored:heap the better.

Agree completely, but when I'm pushing him through the third corner, I feel it might be easier to just pass him .

I remember when I first raced at Silverstone in an F1 game, I found much the same thing. It's very flat and rather featureless. I just worked at it until I got used to it and could remember what was what. And then they changed the layout. 🤬 Did my head in for a while.

Once you get it though, IMO Silverstone is actually a great track. If I were you, I'd probably take the RB Jr out in time trials or something and just bash about there. Fast and high downforce, but not so ridiculous that it'll make it hard to learn anything about the circuit.

On my first attempts at Monza I went off the track a lot because I was pushing too hard thinking that the difficulty would be similar to the GT5 version. The first time I actually completed a lap I beat gold by 7 seconds.

At suzuka the AI rammed me at the final chicaine. I was in the grass for several seconds but still beat gold by 4.

I was looking forward to it being a challenge like it was in GT5, since I hadn't been challenged yet by any of the other events. It's very disappointing that I can gold them so convincingly with times that are not even that good. I've felt this way about pretty much all the event's in GT6. It was much easier to me than GT5 was. I miss having to practice the nurburgring challenges for hours, and strugling to get gold on all the lisences. Maybe I've just improved and know the tracks already since playing GT5, or maybe it's just that I used a controller in GT5 and now I use a wheel.

I found the standard races harder that the fan car x challenge. The fan car x monza give me a little trouble at first but other 2 i golded first time round. Done it with g27 wheel.

It's definitely the game, I found most challenges to be a breeze, there were a few that required some retries, but nothing like GT5. I personally loved the Nurburgring Challenges in GT5, first I golded the licenses and then I blasted through the ring challenges, I was disappointed in most GT6 licenses, I got gold on my first try for almost all of them, S5 required a few retries, but by no means was I pulling my hair out like in GT5. I still enjoy the game though, ok hoping the updates add endurance races at least.

Having golded all 3 events within an hour (would have been less but for my own errors) and only being slightly troubled by Suzuka (damn those sand traps!!!), I wondered how easy they were compared to GT5 given all the comments I have read....so, yesterday, I loaded up the GT5 Vettel Challenges, chose Monza as the easiest and.......OH......MY......GOD!! 🤬. Even golding the RB@ Goodwood in 10 minutes prepared me zero for that! Took me about 10 attempts to even get 2 complete laps of the track and found I was over 9.5 seconds shy of gold.....I know I wasn't pushing that hard but wow. I now know that GT6's Vettel challenges are much, much easier.

Having said all that, I can understand why they have been made a lot easier. The whole of GT6 has been brought down a notch or two on difficulty to cater for the majority so it was understandable that the "hardest" challenges would be easier. I actually had more issues with the Standards than the Fan Car. I think the fact that someone like me (average user, DS3, x/o buttons) can complete GT6 in it's entirety (well, to 100% completion anyway, not buying all the cars etc) in a little over a month playing about 3 hours a day shows that GT really needs the user to have the ability to change difficulty settings

I tried doing some of the GT5 challenges again to see how difficult they are now. I remember how infuriating it was to get gold on the NASCAR "stay in the lower/upper lane" challenges on Daytona using the controller. Tried it now with the wheel and got gold first try by 0.3 seconds.

I couldn't get past bronze on NASCAR until I got a DFGT wheel.

on gt5 i have silver silver bronze after too many attempts.
GT6 beat em all with-in 2 or 3 attempts. very easy.
