I know it sounds cheesy to the rest of the world, but I really wish there was a "throwback" livery that teams could sport once a year. US sports leagues have done this quite regularly over the last few decades, usually with positive appreciation. Cynically, it's also just to sell more merchandise, it still looks interesting for a change, it appeals to the halcyon days of the team's former glories or its initiation to the sport.
Problem is that the Stewart tartan and those Ford logos aren't going to go over well with the current engine supplier, never mind that sponsorship changes over the decades so you'd have to integrate them carefully to prevent trademark and licensing infringement.
With a little creativity, a Tyrrell blue Mercedes could work nicely. On the other hand, Aston Martin doesn't have to go far to resemble the Jordan 191 livery. Or dang it, just copy the Copersucar for yuks.
