Have you reached 100% in a full (GT1,GT2,GT3,GT4) GT title?

My first time through GT4 I went to 100% though I did B-Spec the long endurance races.

My second time through I was going for max spec points. I got to 97% driving every race myself including the 3 24 hour races I think I was up to about 80,000 spec points when I finally put it down and started playing Forza 2 online.

I completed GT1 and two (it took me ages to find the opel/vauxhall glitch though..) Gt3 I'm in the process of completing but by GT4 I was old enough to appriciate GT as a car collection rather than a series of gung-ho events though I did get to 91-92% but I also got all 728 cars.:) (732 if you count the black editions) GT5 again will be all about car collecting for me as I want all 1000 of them..:D and as for the X1 it probably won't be purchaseable (without a gameshark or whatever) so yeah I'm going to say either a long enduro prize car or the 100 % finale. Just my 2c.Rob

In my opinion, maybe 75-80% instead of 100%. Possibly even an event of races or endurance races of some sort where you can not save or let b-spec race. This way, only those who actually put work in get the car. If it becomes too easy, the car wouldn't be that special after awhile. Just my thought on the subject.

AW: There's been a lot of build up to Gran Turismo 5, and one of the things you did was work with Adrian Newey on the Red Bull X1 Prototype. What do you have to do to get it in the game? Please don't say we have to complete 100 percent of the game before we get it.

KY: Gran Turismo 5 has two different modes of play. One is the A-spec and one is the B-spec mode. In A-spec mode, you are the actual driver behind the wheel, and in B-spec mode, you are the director of a racing team where you nurture your drivers that race for you in the races. When you get to a certain level in either A-spec or B-spec, the X1 car will be available for people to try.

Unfortunately, it doesn't say what that "certain level" is.

Maybe it's only possible to rent the X1 in GT5.......;)

Uh-oh. That sounds like Test Drive Unlimited. :)

As fun as the X1 will be to try to max out on straights, it doesn't seem it would be a great career car. As others have mentioned, online might just end up being filled up with a bunch of X1s in a demo-derby. *Gasp*

But it's really up to the users to do what they want. As long as we have the option.

Thank you. To me that means a lower percentage than 100%. I really don't think you will need 100% to get it, that wouldn't make sense. The point of the poll was I wanted to see what percentage of people on GTPlanet have got 100% & further prove the point that getting it at 100% makes no sense. Thanks to everyone who voted & commented

Probably by winning all teh special events

Adn the poll is partially useless and

a) some people on here may lie... and there is no way of proving this

b) GTPers arre are much more commited to GT than others. Even if everyone here has completed atleast one GT, most people wont have. Your asking an *insert party here* caucus weather they would vote for *insert pollie from party*... a much greater group will.

I haven't finished a game yet..... I get board part way through and restart. One feature I do want in GT5 is multi game saves. SO i can play through get f1 cars get the X1 and stuff and do some endurance races, but then be able to haev another save where I can restart and race and tune a civic type r or mx-5 without losing all the stuff I had done.

well really what poll isn't useless ? especially now that the game's already being stamped. I just think polls are fun & I wanted to comfirm my speculation that even on GTPlanet, a very large # of us haven't got 100% in any GT game.

I agree that some people lied & I know for a fact a few nimrods voted yes for gt5p or GT PSP even the poll clearly says GT1 GT2 GT3 & GT4 only but even still, there couldn't have been that many who lied or are mistaken

Like a supercar club! You can have the X1 on Tuesday for 10 laps or a Caterham for the whole weekend :p

At least it's not a Ferrari track car or you'd have to pay for it in full but they keep it :ouch:

Makes me think that the Gift-function could also work like that perhaps, lending someone your car to try it out.
Instead of giving it permanently which is also possible ofcourse, although with you being a Liverpudlian ( a more friendly term this time ) there wouldn't be much difference anyway I guess ;).

Interesting point, I do hope you can share and not just gift cars. It would be nice to try specials friends had already acquired but I'd still want to earn them myself. It could work like kindle ebooks so that you can only lend them to one person at a time for a short period and can't use it yourself while it's on loan.

We learn at an early age that possession is nine tenths of the law so I won't dispute the stereotype and scouser is fine but I draw the line at scally ;)

I think they should make it like GT4 where you get a certain car at 25% completion. And i hope that in that case the car would be the X1.

Took me 4 years to 100% GT4, but I wasnt constantly playing all that time, I would play for a few months, get sick of it, then come back to it later. I also have 100% on GT3, but not the first 2. I will obviously try for 100% completion on GT5 but I imagine its going to take a long time. In a way I just hope you dont get the X1 too early in the game, or things could just get too easy (unless you race other X1s ofcourse). I would like the X1 to be available on arcade mode just to blast around on before you unlock it in GT mode.

I'm surprised that no one thought the X1 would be a prize for completing the red bull special events... As for the 'certain level' Kaz talked about he's probably pertaining to the licenses.

i actually havnt played the GT2 at all.. i got the first, 3rd and the 4th and of those i've only really played the first back when i was just 15ish..

too... addicted to my pc atm to go in and boot up gt4 :<
i should prolly get to it ... :<

I think that the X1 should be an award for a quite difficult challenge (not a long one, like the 24 hour race, just some challenge plain difficult), and if there would be a 100% reward in GT5 I would like it to be tons of money so I can buy every car in the game :P

If you think about it logically, it would have to be 50% for either. If it was set higher than 50%, if someone played 51% B-spec, they could never reach 50% in A-spec mode. I believe it has to be set to open at 50% achieved in either A or B spec modes.

No, remember than in GT5P you had to finish all S calss races to get the F2007? More like that.

I personally think we will have a chance to "try" the X1 by reaching a certain level in which the driver mission/challenge will become unlocked. We wont be given the cars though at that point. Probably be given it later again.

Yea it would be a little crazy if we actually had to reach 100 Percent in the game in order to drive the car. As you said, only 1/5 people would manage to drive the car, which would probably force us to download profiles which in turn will ruin the GT Experience (as I like to call it :p).
