Yes the tickets have the limit applied to them as well.
A bit off topic, if he just got GT5 then starting with an 'x1' would make them game extremely boring. The X2010/2011 are not good to drive or race anyway.
There is a borrow glitch that allows trading expensive cars. Search for it on the forums. If you want the car immediately, you can just buy the original DLC which includes the X2011. It's a fun car and it will let you win some of the more boring races effortlessly so I'd say it's worth the money unless you don't want to spend on DLC at all.

i think that would be a bad idea sending the fastest car in the game to a rookie if he using a controller because the speed would be difficult for a rookie to know where to brake and go around a corner.if hes a pro at raacing games,then yeah it would be a good idea
