Red Bull X2010 - 5G Online Qualifiers [OP Updated]

Looks like the qualifiers for this Japan only event has started.

I haven't read much about this version of the X2010, all I knew is that it had the fan removed. I'm not sure why it sounds different though, I would have thought that even if the engine was heavily de-tuned, the F1 style sound would still remain. Unless PD is trolling heavily like they did with the HSV's sound.

Looks nice though.

Yeah it does sound a little strange. Very similar to the Formula Gran Turismo (has a really rough gargling sound). However the car does look very pretty with the revised front and rear wings; especially the florescent yellow Gurney flaps

It is much easier to handle than the other two Red Bull machines, in my opinion. I've entered into the eastern Japan division and after only a few laps managed to get under the gold time of 1:46:00. The problem is, the top qualifier right now is 1:37:xx so I'm ranked 2089.

I'm curious, though they say it's just a X2010 with bigger bits on the wings and the fan shut off, since the 5G didn't seem to accelerate quite as brutally as the X2010 did in those videos, are there any changes in stats (i.e power, weight, aerodynamics)? Or are the 5G's stats not shown?

I got almost every version of the x1 and drove every version of it but It sucks that I couldn't drive this version because my psn account,and my game is American.

The web does state that participants will at some point receive this x1 as a present however I'm not sure how it will work. The site says to sign up on the site but there's no direct link to the sign up page and by clicking around another area of the site says registration is closed her the competition s still ongoing and you can download the x1 from the PSN store. I guess I have to just wait and see. I hope I do get one. It's the best x1 yet.
