This is not impossible with a DS3 my G27 optical wheel is broken so I cant use it till I get it fixed so I had to use a controller for the new events. It took me a couple of hours of hard work but was able to gold them all so im back at 100%. Its just some of you guys dont like a challenge so you give up after trying it 5 times.
 
I play on the dualshock, no assistances, just with the ABS:1.

Standard: Every single race was soooooo easy, man, like, I won the 5 races on the first try.

Fan Car: Well, I knew it was going to be easier than GT5 Vettel Challenge, considering how high every other challenge times are in GT6 (licenses, Goodwood and so on), but I was expecting at least just a little bit of challenge.

Monza: Beat it on the second try. The first try on the second lap, I breaked too late on the first chikane.

Spa: Beat it on the first try, I even got offtrack on the second lap, and still managed to get gold.

Suzuka: Here things got weird, because out of the three, Suzuka is my favourite and I know the track, so every fast corner I thought I could do without breaking, lol. But it only took me 5 attempts.

The gold times are almost the same as bronze times in GT5, and the X2014 is easier to drive.

In comparison, in GT5 I had Silver in Nurburgring, Gold in Monza and Silver in Suzuka, but it took me weeks and a lot of suffering to complete them.
 
Jesus Christ ! The X201X races are always like someone pushed the 2x/3x fast forward button :lol: !

But yes I agree that the races/challenges were easier than I expected ...

Nice post, Mr. will-i-am. I believe that you are a competent driver, but it appears that you have only won 274 of the 333 races entered.
I can only speculate that PD has still not addressed the problem where victories in any of the Vettel events are NOT counted in your win
total. Is this correct?

Maybe online races?
Play with same ppl and don't care if win or lose, sometimes! Lol

Then in career I also run races 50-100 pp less and stock sometimes. With 2 grade less tire. (Sport soft allowed ill use sport hard sometimes). Had a few loses. Make comp with leader.
 
Race all 8 races, won 7 out of 8....I lost in Apricot Hill because in last chicane, A.I hit me when I was braking in the corner and I got hit behind and spin off the track and dropped to 4th place. Is A.I good driving? why they late braking and I got hit. That was very cheecky. But I won the rest race which much point to won the championship, if you lost one single race, you should easy to get the championship if you win four other races....
 
I have no idea how you guys have found the championship so easy, my best race result was 7th besides winning Silverstone via the use of every shortcut available. I just can't control the thing even with -2 controller sensitivity! Congrats to those that managed it easily, you clearly have far superior reflexes than I do. I may try again some time but, frankly, I struggle when it's something I don't enjoy and I wouldn't enjoy driving those again even if I was good at it
 
What do you have to do to complete it? I got 5th in the championship. still wont let me in the vettel challenge.
 
this car is arcade joke even with comfort hard tires wheel spin is false!
 
A bit too fast for my DS3 skills at the moment (and they seem to have a turning circle of a supertanker). Though individually I've managed 2nd at Fuji. I think dusting off my DFP might be in order.

I like the sparks though!
 
The challenges were indeed fun, although the X challenge with the fan cars seemed very anti-climatic; compared to the HELL that was the X1 Challenge in GT5, the X Challenge in GT6 is a complete joke in comparison, but at least they are alot more fun than frustrating.
 
They are so much more fun than GT5's ones but still a challenge for me being close to half a century. Reactions not quite as good now. Gold at SPA by 4 seconds (no cutting) but it is my favourite track, pretty proud of that one.

Resorted to auto gearbox and completed them. Will try them with a manual later.

They have so much grip SFR and TC must be an hinderance to anyone that uses them.

Replay value will be awesome. Great update.

:lol:By the way, for those having trouble YOU CAN SELECT RACING SOFT TIRES from the race menu. Makes a HUGE difference.

I only made one championship attempt then tried some practice on the first and second courses, but I wish I'd known this.

And for anyone really, really struggling there seems to be no penalties for course cutting. Not much of a help on most of the tracks, but it should make Silverstone a joke.

Compared to S licence races a piece of cake (although i did come stone last in apricot hill,and won the series) I think ill make my own thread on how to win S Races.

Silverstone, yes. I haven't seen anyone talking about the huge shortcut this track has, but I'm pretty sure a lot of people know it very well :lol: I didn't have the need to fall this low during the Standard X2014 events, thankfully. However, I... might've cheat in the X2014 mission @ Suzuka...

its a theoretical car, any reasearch could tell you that and honestly if you had the money you could more than likely do this with existing technology, the only reason nobody has done it is because 1.It would be too expensive and 2.Not in spec for any racing series.

Adrian Newey designed this things and lets face it that man is the undisputed king of black magic in the racing world.

You have to get bronze or better in the championship.
 
The X2014S is as worse than go-karts, don't even turn.

The 2014F, only tested it on SSRX. Can't believe it got difficulty to go to 500(i made 625 with the X2011)
 
Posted on the other thread, maybe the wrong place, so I thought I'd post it here too:
Am I missing something? I've golded both new seasonals and both new Red Bull challenges. I have gold on everything in the game, but I'm still at 99% :confused:

Anybody in this situation as well? Thanks
 
Only done the "Standard" (Come on the name sounds terrible - "Natural Venturi" sounds way cooler.)

Drove with no aids... I got big "Launch control" on the starts - ... as for ABS? I didn't really notice the tyres locking up that much. Though you can certainly slam the car into a corner hoping for more than the friction circle will offer you. Car is a nice step up from the Junior. ("We called the Dog Indiana...")

Gears are a bit short, if you draft another car the rev limiter will get treated like a Fish in Scunthorpe... well battered.

First time I've gone under one minute for Trial Mountain. Schplenid! - The down side is now I've done this achievement the animated Monkey jumps up and down and throws stuff onto the track every lap. Hope future achievements don't awaken the Godzilla/diplodocus in the lake.

Nobody has mentioned the new background sound effects. While in a real race you dont hear everything it adds a great touch to those of us who like to get a more immersive experience. The background Red Bulls are especially pronouced, it was the first thing I noticed and was captivated by it for some reason, it reminded me of codemasters F1 but much more pronounced than in their games.

I'm struggling a bit to get enough speed in this car without overshooting corners at the worst possible times, so I might resort to the shortcuts just to give me some room to work with until I figure this damn car out. It's fun, but a definite challenge.

Put it up to plus +2 I had to do that on the 1st race. quit restarted it killed the under steer and after the restart all gold

YES!! I also noticed this the first race at Silverstone. The sound of the other cars in the background once I had gained first place added a whole new dimension of realism to the game. That race was honestly the biggest highlight of GT6 for me so far.
 
People racing 800 to 1000+ HP cars with Comfort tyres...The face-palm meme that I want to put in here is way too big to fill my 47" HDTV screen...Incredible.

The X2014 events were quite easy for me with a G27, and the FFB is not as heavy as it was with the other X2010/2011 cars. With Racing Hard tyres is cool and with Racing Softs is easier.

I like the little but subtle differences between the standard and the fan car. Also this time I was used to the speeds and it didn´t feel as fast as the GT5 X2010/11 events.


Something really funny happened at Spa: Vettel tried to pass me in the last chicane, he cut the first part of it and passed in front of me flying sideways literally, I just had to brake normally and end my lap to win. :lol:
Of course watched that replay. :D

By the way, why does the X2014 Standard produces sparks when it goes uphill or driving along a straight? It intrigues me. :boggled:

Car is constantly bottoming out. There are random bouts of intense understeer under both high speed and low speed cornering, yet it isn't consistent. Attempting to brake trail leads to either a stable and predictable car, or the car suddenly snapping in the direction of the wheel upon braking. While the unpredictable nature of the car makes it exciting, it is frustrating to never know how the car might react to a slight line deviation.
 
Thought these races were awful. PD gives a brand new car, but no practice and puts you in a 5 race series....just stupid. I need some practice before running. I can't go from driving the new Stingray to driving x2014 standard and be good. If they do this, they should allow these cars as courtesy cars for practice. There are many threads relating to having practice before running races. This is a prime example.
 
Jesus, I just can't seem to do the standard championship. I always keep running into the wall near the finish line at Trial Mountain.

Any tips?

You can just play through the series then practice the individual races as much as you want. It's not that bad.
