Red dot on the timing screen?

The one I'm talking about is when you switch the map display in the spec b race info page to the sector timing screen. Sometimes next to the best lap time a red dot will appear. What does it mean? I've spent a lot of time pondering it, but I'm still clueless as to what it indicates (a search of these forums turned up nothing as well).

I believe it is when your b-specer goes off the track.

I don't think it's anything to do with lap time.... i think it is when your car goes off the track. I usually switch to the race view to look at my car when it happens and he is off the track....

The red dot in the picture above under the Best/Sector heading means that the last completed lap was the fastest for that car (as stated by xXSilencerXx above).

The "off track" symbol appears in the column to the left of the L (lap) column and only appears briefly rather than for the whole lap (as the best lap dot does).

It's sooo annoying when the B-spec Bob goes off the track, ESPECIALLY if he remains stuck there for the rest of the race 👎
