Red Hot Chili Peppers: NEW ALBUM!!!Music

What do you think about the new RHCP album Stadium Arcadium? I like the 1st CD (jupiter) more than the 2nd. I think the best song is Dani California, but there are many other really great songs like "snow".

I'm a huge Chili Peppers fan, but I didn't go into this album expecting very much. Although they're still a good band, they have certainly fallen off in their past few albums. They have a mature sound, but they're missing the energy of the funk/punk style that they used to be so good at.

That being said, I was much happier with this album than 'By The Way', and at the moment, I like it better than 'Californication' too. They still sound like the 'new' Chili Peppers though, which means very few funk based songs. All in all, it's a pretty good album though, it's got some sweet guitar solos, good basslines, and good lyrics in some of the songs. Everything sounds good, they're just lacking the energy they used to have in albums such as 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik' 'Mother's Milk' and 'One Hot Minute'.

I'll give it a 7.5 out of 10.

I wanted to go to their concert in Hamburg or Berlin, but it was sold out after a few hours :-(
I hope that they will come to Germany again soon to play some concerts.

Was just about to update the Chili Peppers thread with this

Sitting at work listening to it now. Am up to "Slow Cheetah" off of Jupiter and am digging it.

It took me months to decided which songs were best from By The Way, but at the moment i'm loving She's Only 18 and Snow. I heard Snow on Top Of The Pops and fell in love with JF's guitaring. Still, 3/4s left to go!

I'm really liking it 👍 I'm not a huge chillis fan but this is definetley a good album.

And 2 hours of original music is pretty impressive for an album.

The guitaring on the whole album is just epic. Both Flea and JF really excel themselves 👍

Just tried that Snow tab and it sounds good. Getting the hammer is really tough though; my fingers don't bend like that

Listened to the album 3 times today, really digging it. Off of Jupiter: Some gorgeous slow tracks like Slow Cheetah & Snow and some pure dirty funk like Hump de Bump and Warlocks. Haven't properly covered Mars yet

I'm not much of an RHCP fan, but I must say, this album is absolutely AMAZING. The music is catchy but soulful. For some reason, slow cheetah and Snow are my 2 faves so far

I had the same thing with iTunes. The conclusion i came to was that software was getting the track listing from the US album (which i assume is different) rather than the UK version. Still, annoying.
