Which album do you prefer?

Blood Sugar Sex Magick is far and away their best album. Tons of funk without so many self-concious 'inner-urban' references as the earlier stuff, and much more personality than anything since.

Mother's Milk is my second favorite RHCP album.

How dare you try and compare the Chilli Peppers' albums? Hah, that's a crime to humanity, man.

they're all equally fantastic. I do prefer By The Way over the others, but i won't vote for just one.

That's a difficult call. By The Way and Blood Sugar Sex Magic are both great albums, but very different. Probably By The Way just tags it though. (What appalling grammar!!)

Every song on Blood Sex Sugar Magik is great. But on the new CD By The Way I really like the Zephyer Song and Cabron. On Californiacation most of the songs are good to. I've never listened to freaky styley before though.

I plan to buy soon some albums by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I currently have none. The only songs I have is Love Rollercoaster from the "Beavis and Butthead Do America" soundtrack.

I have By the way, Californication and Blood sugar sex magik...and like them all alot, each for there different reasons.....but I'm going to have to go with Californication....it brings back some great memories....its great when music can do that

well i have blood sugar sex magik, californication, and by the way and i will recomend all of them. blood sugar sex magik is my least favorite which means i think it is just awesome instead of kickass. personally i think californication is the best. it has the best overall sound i think. by the way is a huge step in some direction that i didnt expect from rhcp but when i bought it i listened to it for a month straight so it is also quite good.

I don't know how i missed this thread. I went to see them live about a year ago, with the MArs Volta supporting...just amazing!!
Personally I prefer their older stuff with all the funk, you just can't beat it. Best album though has to go to Blood Sex Sugar Magic. As Duke said (I think) it was really the appitomy of their stuff. By The Way (get it, get the pub ), I thought By The Way was a shocking attempt from then. It sounded like they'd sold out or something. I prefer the Chili's were all about funk and not all this mellow malarky.
