Heh... they never stop and do donuts in front of you, do they? They're always just to far to get a good piccie of *sigh*

Still, glad you had fun. Did it blow your eardrums out of you head?

You definetly have to experience it live. It's an unforgettable experience.

Nice video BMW318ciC.👍 They had a simillar event here in Holland a couple of months ago, called Monaco aan de Maas. It was pretty cool seeing F1 cars on the street.

F1 cars doing burnouts are great. Looks like you had fun BMW.

Joseph and GTchamp have you been to Goodwood Festival of speed?

Lots of F1 doughnut action there plus all the other stuff. I cannot recommend it enough.

I wish there was more of the car, but it captured the atmosphere really well. 👍 Nice to see the car putting on the show for people. I hope I get to catch them in action sometime. :)

They use to do donuts in F1 cars at Goodwood Festive of Speed, until the teams only did burnouts at the FOS.

For some weird reason the had Mark Webber doing laps of the Sydney Harbour Bridge last Australian GP. It was cool yet I don't really see the point of it.

Looks like quite a good experience though, hope you had fun.

Indeed. They stopped at the behest of the organisers, who were worried that it might be dangerous.

And given the nature of the burnouts they were doing, it's not a huge problem for me. Liuzzi starting from stationary in the Red Bull, with the fronts locked and the rears spinning, got so much heat into the fronts that they were smoking too. It was most impressive.

I know, I was there. I got a rather rubbish video of Panis doing a burnout on my digital camera.

Back at the 2002 FoS the F1 cars and dragsters had a burnout competition outside Goodwood House. It was awesome to watch - on the big screen, as I was at the other end of the hill at the time.
