I usually do the RB Standard championship but I fancied a change this evening and went for the Jr champ. instead.

What the 🤬 is up with the Grand Valley race (race 3/5)?!?!

I destroy the AI around every single other race in that championship but can't do better than 2nd at Grand Valley. I'm consistently between .300 and .100 seconds behind 1st and I tried 4 times! (the whole championship) :irked:. It's baffling because I'm in 2nd by the start of lap 3 but just can't seem to get past 1st place!

Come to think of it I'm only just managing to win at Rome (race 4/5) too. Usually getting past 1st on the last 2 corners.

I swear I didn't have this problem when I first ran it. Has the AI changed or something? I haven't played much lately apart from a few free run sessions so wouldn't have noticed if it had.

Grand Valley: lightly brake at entrance to first corner, brake hard entering the left before the tunnel. Otherwise full throttle around the entire track. It works every time.

Rome: Ease off the gas briefly when abreast of the colessium, brake for the right onto cobblestones, lightly tap brake at base of hill and again before the right into the roundabout. Otherwise, full throttle. You should lead by 10 seconds after first lap.

Edit: Lead by end of first lap, by 10 seconds at end of race.

Thank you. I'll give this a go this evening. Much obliged good sir.

EDIT: I think I just suck at Grand Valley. I followed your guidance and it would seem I wasn't going around the corners before that left into the tunnel anywhere near fast enough. I won but the AI are nearly always in the way- I hit the back of them mid corner and spin out or I try to avoid them, lose the back end, hit the back of them and then spin out.

Rome was the same problem; avoiding the AI. The way they just happen to be perfectly placed to block you every time is infuriating. It would seem I was losing time at the base of the hill and at the roundabout.

Anyway, got all 5 wins so once again, much obliged
