I'd agree with the 1.8 being a decently torquey motor for the application. For the class, it's pretty good. Don't have to rev it to death coming out of a corner or from a stop like a 4AG or even an S2K. (Or my Mazda2's 1.5, haha.)

So guys, gonna rattle off some names of cars I want. Object or agree.
Oh, and before anyone says it, no I do not need a daily.

Nissan 280Z
Nissan 280ZX
Nissan 260Z
Nissan 300ZX Z31
Nissan 300ZX Z32 (if I can find a decent one)
Nissan 200SX S12
Nissan 240SX S13 Coupe (MAYBE.)
Nissan 240SX S14
Toyota Celica GT-S (The RWD one)
Toyota Corolla AE86
Toyota Cressida MX73
Toyota Supra MA70
Toyota Celica Supra
Toyota MR2 AW11 Mk1A (a good one... maybe)
Lexus SC300
Lexus SC400
Lexus GS300 (first gen)
Mazda RX7 FB
Mazda RX7 FC
Mazda Miata NA
Mazda MX6 Turbo (maybe)
Mitsubishi Starion
Mitsubishi 3000GT SL (DOHC)
Chrysler Conquest

and that's about it.

I thought we all agreed the answer to every single 'which car should I get' question, ESPECIALLY if the car we decided on was already on the short list, was the MX-5?

Seriously though as long as you keep an open mind, which you have obviously lol, then the right car will find you. Just don't rush in to anything.

You are right, the Miata is on the short list..
Miata is probably my #1 Choice actually. I do want a 280ZX badly too, though.

Well, I might be able to contribute to the thread more, as I might be buying another car tonight.

Alright. Digging this thread up again.

Does anyone have experience with/knowledge of the Nissan 200SX S12? I found a reasonably priced one that I am kind of interested in.

That rear quarterpanel looks like it could use lot ot of TLC.. And bondo. I hope you studied the issues of 7M motor family before pulling the trigger.

The supra emblem is really cool. Manual or auto?
Auto.. :grumpy: though it was really cheap. So I guess I can deal with the auto for now.

Meh, quarter panel doesn't bother me at all really. I know a lot about the 7M.

Awesome Supra! Always had a thing for MK3 Supra's, looked into them myself, but they'd probably be a pain to insure for someone my age. Pretty awesome deal on the car, how many miles are on it?

That's a nice choice. I like the color.

You could do this to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_dBcn7Hf5o Second car in my video. I quite like the 7M sound.

Thank you! I love the color too.
I like the idea of a Rally Supra, though I was thinking of something a little more like this... (go to 1:57) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzd-UTRKrXE

I love the 7M sound too. Throaty in the low RPM spectrum, then in the higher RPM spectrum it sounds like a supercar of some sort. So awesome.

It's a pretty cool car but the rear wishbone suspension setup would cause too much camber under acceleration and make the tyres wear out the inside edges too fast. This car is a Celica Supra XX, original engine was an M. It got the 7M-GTE transplant. I hope you enjoy the car.

Agreed, it sounds hungry/ angry to my ears.
This!

Thank you! It has 173 thousand.
What year is it? Moar details!
87, Naturally Aspirated, hardtop.
Wow! Lucky find!
Thank you!

You have a point about the suspension. I like that they kept an M in the car, you don't see that often. And thank you!

Wasn't Celica Supra XX early 80's MkII Supra? I'm pretty sure that the one in pic is MkIII JZA70..
