I`m agree, dou you remember TGS on September, when they said, "EU and USA will have a date soon"? Well, it`s 13 March, near to 5 months from TGS, and we have no date, so soon maybe from the next week to E3.

It seems like "soon" means something different in Japan...
 
Well i hope the read the forum here very carfully....

We all are not very amused with delaying release dates everytime....

I think the best for sony and GT5 is to give us a release date coming week...
It starts to really get annoying....

Sony has sold over 55 million copies of its "Gran Turismo" racing simulation franchise worldwide. Its newest title, "Gran Turismo 5," will be available for PlayStation 3 users this autumn and introduces NASCAR to its garage of racing vehicles.

The game is expected to feature over 1,000 cars, ranging from Japanese tuner cars to concept cars, as well as tracks from around the globe. The game will also feature stereoscopic 3D technology for the first time. Racing games keep fans coming back for sequels.

I think GT5 is actually one of a few gaming titles they could release at any given time because of its lifespan and consistent sales during that lifespan.
It is not purely dependant on creating hype before a holiday season, sure the most units will probably be sold in the first months, but even Prologue is still doing quite well.

This! Unfortunately the decision has been taken away from the realms of common sense and placed in the hands of marketing men and accountants who will be obsessing over the exact precice millisecond window to maximise profits.
 
There are two things that can go wrong with this statement. 1. "Soon" might mean 6 months. 2. We'll just get a release date but we still can't get our hopes high on the date being true, we've had a release date before and it got smashed by SCE...
