I believe the term "serious buyers" refers to people who aren't going to play around, and not end up buying the car, not people who can't drive.

I doubt that. If people have the money to buy it, Lotus probably doesn't care who it is and what they do with it.

I know. But it is far more likely to be sold to an experience and/at least a dedicated auto enthusiast, capable enough to keep the car pointing the right way than some shmuck who'd slam it first lap. The latter guy isn't into spending his money on this kind of toy.

I think Ferarri and Lamborghini should watch out with this one. Wouldn't be suprised at all if this could drive circles around the 430 or Gallardo.

It seems they've managed to convince the original owner, forget who it was, that making just a few more won't make his any less significant.

This thing WILL drive circles around an F430 or Gallardo, but Ferrari and Lamborghini need not be worried. This thing is a track car, more similar to a MC12 Corsa. I doubt it is even street legal in most countries.

People already have been putting turbos on Elises. America-wise, check www.forcedfed.com, they've got various tuning levels, the best being the 380R, taking a 2100lb Elise to 60 in 3.something seconds.

No it IS a lot wider, it's also got a different engine and transmission than the normal Exige, putting a turbo or two onto an Exige will not make a car that can keep up with this.
