I always hated the position of the bar on the playseat. It may not look sturdy but I put a small pilot hole for the bolt that holds it in place so it's very secure.

Same... Although i never find the bar to be in my way surprisingly but I think I will give this a shot. Thanks for the post.

Good idea, but I tried it and it didn't work for me because I'm too tall. The bar just doesn't extend out far enough for me to use it this way.

You might need a lower seat or just increase the angle. It doesn't have to be 45 degrees. But if the bar doesn't bother you - then it may not be worth the hassle. I hated the position of the bar on my old playseat.

I tried. Believe me, I wish I could use it this way but it just doesn't work for me because of my long arms and legs. If I angle the wheel at a comfortable position, then I'm too close to the pedals...for me to reach the pedals comfortably, I would need the bar to extend out at least 6 more inches, maybe more. Good idea though, as long as it works for you. 👍
