right i have a saved replay and have copied it onto a usb device and it is now on my computer but it doesnt seem to be a valid video format. how do i make it a valid format so i can uplad onto youtube.?

thanks

You can't.

You need to record the replay using a capture device like a hauppauge HD PVR.

Saved rapley aren't a rendered video file.
They contains data about "recorded" movements of cars into track during race.

Youtube upload would force gt5/ps3 to render it frame-byframe in video format before upload process.
This would be cool.. added also with the replay after a 2 players spitscreen race.

damn wot a bloody shame.

oh well cheers guys

It is dissapointing that you can't upload videos to youtube from your computer and that they have to be done from a capture card. It would have been pretty cool to be able to do it without one.

Dirt 3 will apparently include a feature to do YouTube uploads in game, might still be hope for GT5.

It has the ability to upload to Youtube in the code. They disabled it as it was taking too long to export and encode. I think it will be patched back in at a later date.
