I've noticed that a lot of posts I have reported for some reason or another over the last couple months have gone unnoticed. Are you guys way behind, or am I just being ignored? Seems like the system isn't working for me. Might as well give up.

While I have no idea what all you've reported (I currently have reports from only the last few days), the couple I do have were both from today and both have been addressed.

If you report something and it appears that nothing has happened, that's not necessarily true (depending on what it is, of course) as, I'm sure you know, our infractions are handled privately. In the case of something being in the wrong forum and nothing has happened, we likely haven't gotten to it yet. On some occasions, reports are made because someone simply doesn't agree with something, in which case we'll likely just ignore it, provided the disagreement remains civil.

I've reported a couple of threads recently for being in the wrong forum. I guess the reports just got pushed back although they normally get cleaned up pretty quickly.

There are some specific instances, like the guy in Off Topic that decided he needed a thread for his R/C car hobby, even though we have a general R/C car thread. Or the post I reported this morning (which was moved, thanks) but the guy has yet to listen to my warning about typing correctly.

That's one if the things that irks me about new people, or people on here that just don't care about how they type. I know it used to be a big deal around here, but seems lately like those kind of posts are slipping by with no warnings. When I tell them they need to type correctly, I get called a "forum nazi".

That really bothered you that much? Jordan stated a while back that he prefers several well thought out threads covering the same topic over a single general thread.

I didn't know that, but in any case the guy hasn't had any attention hardly in that thread which probably means something.

Also, the member who started this thread needs a lesson in how to type.

What really bothers me is the threads which are in the completely wrong place, sometimes it loses them views. I mean, I remember there was some Grammar-less drifting shootout thread in the GTPSP time trial forums. Not only is it off-topic for there, it also gets them far less views and the views they do get, is just from the GTPSP time trial-ers and there isn't to much of those.

I've got just a little suggestion, move the AUP to somewhere that pops out at you more, down the bottom is hard to notice and therefore ignored. Kikie gave us a good example of this lag year with his epic quote "I never read the AUP, I don't even know where to find it." which is true. Maybe put it just above the forums and threads on white backround to stick out more?
