Jordan,

Not really a criticism, but how about moving the reputation check to the bottom, just to the left of the "Edit" button? After all it's after you read the post and are at the bottom of it that you decide to give it reputation points or not. As it sits today, you have to scroll back up before you can click on the check. Is it just me, or have others accidentally clicked on the check and gave reputation points only to realize you were giving them to the wrong person? I know I have on occasion. It seems like all the post options are on the bottom except the reputation check.

Anyways...it's fine just the way it is, but you have spoiled us in the past, just wanted to offer up some feedback! 👍

Hmm... Maybe some people would actually give me rep before quoting or something. I dunno, sounds OK.

I see your point there Pako, and I'd also find it useful and just more logical afterall. On the other hand, I'd very much prefer to get a central reputation overwiev in "My GTPlanet" first, which shows you how many points you have and the last 20 or so reps you received, accompanied by the comments the members put in.
As far as I know, the forums software is capable of this, but there is some kind of technical problem blocking that function at the moment. If I have a wish concerning the reputation points, I'd rather have that puleeeeeeeeeze. :O

I think this would be a good idea as in my experience it's the longer post's that warrant a click on the little red check mark.

Don't know if I'm reading the Interceptor right or not but a short list of where your most recent rep points have come from would be nice too, it would make it easier to spot which posts are getting rep points enabling "nOObs" (sorry) like myself to see where we're getting things right, or wrong. IMVHO.

PERFECT BALANCE
Well, i'm used to it now, and I think if it was changed, I probabaly would end up repping the wrong person.
So there is hope for me to get some rep? :dopey:

I guess I don't much care where it is. Either location is fine.

That's a pretty good idea, Pako. While drafting the layout I began with the check mark in that location, but when I put it where it is now I just fell in love with how it looks up there and I don't really want to move it.

Interceptor, the reputation overview feature mystery has not been solved even after consulting with the vB support staff. However, it's not too high up on my priority list primarily because I don't want users focused on their number of reputation points.

Hey, that's a good enough reason for me to keep it there. :)

You know what? I think it's just fine the way it is because if someone liked your post but wasn't that that impressed with it, then they would click on the red check because it's closer to the report/edit button :indiff: , and thus, probably getting you the "quality post" badge without really diserving it.

Now, if you really think the post deserves + rep points, then you would "look for it" and click on it (even though we all know where it its obviously).

Same thing with - rep points.

Ciao...

Damn, you've got a good argument there. Focusing too much on reputation points has led to turning off the system completely in other forums, so I can't really argue with you about that. But as long as I know you're keeping it in mind, I'm satisfied. 👍
