"Request Timed Out" when trying to connect to lobbies

It's only been doing this since our internet speed got dialed up to ~50mbps (was previously 7mbps, so it's a big bump. lol)
I have cleared my system cache, I have reset the modem/router. It's not all lobbies, but it's sporadic and annoying as bleep. I have no idea what else to do. Any thoughts?

While there is no cure, these things did help, along what you're already doing...

Disabling your Media Server Connection in your PS3 also helps out too, as it limits what your PS3 is trying to connect to.

Thanks - Should've thought to youtube it. I don't have media server on anyway, lol - Nothing my PS3 needs to connect for on my PC.

Edit: weirdly that didn't work for me. DNS errors prevented me from connecting online at all. Somehow it doesn't surprise me though..

Seems to be getting worse too, I reset everything to auto and now it's logging me off PSN sporadically.
