You might want to have a "current requests" post you can put at the top of each page, so that hybrideers can see what folk want currently.

EU and US versions. Just an MX-5 with F1 tyres, a few choice upgrades, F1 downforce, endless oil, supershine and a beautiful-sounding Lister V12.

Let me know how she behaves. She might need harder tyres.
 
You may also want to retitle the thread "Request Your Hybrids Here!" so people get the idea that it's a help thread and not a personal request thread...
 
hmmmm...i've been playing with MK's program already, and i have a x-port on order, but not action replay or gameshark, can i use those numbered codes with MK's program? i was already thinking about that, because i was trying to figure out how to use the shiny car code with what i see on that program...maybe get out of text mode?

I want a VW Beetle RSI with turbo and Nissan Skyline Loctite GT-R wheels. :D (and the sample car suspension..the one that goes from 55mm-200mm)
 
MKS format. and make sure you test it out first cuz everytime i try one it always freezes.. (USA format to)
 
wheely-mon - it depends. With a Gameshark you enter a big list of codes, with the hope that some pillock somewhere hasn't transposed digits. This modifies the car AS the game is running.

With what I posted earlier - the MX-5 - it's simply a case of telling the garage what parts you've got fitted to the car. Of course these parts don't actually have to belong to the car in the first place - hence Loctite wheels on a Bug RSi, and a Lister V12 engined MX-5.

epic - Check your garage car numbers (scroll down to the bottom of mk's). As long as the numbers are roughly sequential (some are skipped, as you sell the car with that number), the garage shouldn't freeze. Don't drag and drop cars to new locations.

What power are you looking for?
 
less than 800hp.. and my car numbers and everything is fine.. seeing as I only make cars using one car in the garage, but it always freezes on that one car or some reason :(

We have T8s from the Loctite, stage 4 turbo from the Supra, ZZII brakes, full racing tranny, clutch and flywheel, S001 suspension, set to 56/67 currently, 85% mass, uprated DF (to 1.00/1.50)... That's about it. Something like 590hp. Enjoy.

May I suggest on your hybrids Grip and Downforce you cange the numbers?

IE. Lines 292-296 set to 0 and 356-360 to around 101 or 111?

Should make the downforce much better and the grip of the tires better also.

Two points though. Firstly if you set DF to 0, the car becomes absolutely undriveable at very high speeds. Secondly, and I can't stress this enough...

GRIP HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR TYRES!

Only way to change tyre grip is to get sticker, fatter tyres. The Grip component is a suspension travel part, and altering it at all is, IMO, a bad idea.

Go read the guide - may assist you in future.
 
Changing the DF doesnt deem the cars undriveable at high speeds...(unless its over 500mph but thats stupid in the first place)

And the grip does help in some cases, Acceleration, and turning. But the main part of the hybrid is the chasis, if you have a light chasis with a near range wheelbase the car will work awesome.

As for the website, I didnt find it to be any help because I already know all that stuff. :odd:

But ermm.. when I get my ps2 back we can have ourselves a hybrid battle :cool:

Oh I wasn't saying that grip DOESN'T help, merely that it's difficult to set it so it does. People who enter values of 200 for grip need a good slappin'.

If anyone reading this still thinks that grip is to do with tyres, set grip to 1 and drive the car. Similarly, high values are counterproductive - especially in a race situation - as it makes the car near-impossible to pull off the line.

(for interest's sakes, check mk's help file, and the credits contained therein... :D)
 
As an additional note, I've found that cars that can pull 300mph on straight bits are severely hampered by a DF value of over 2.00 on either wing. Never mind 4xx,xxx :D
 
mmmmm, i guess i agree with both of you...the famous usathrasher1 mini from the gt genome project is using max downforce, and handles great...but when i tried it on my viper a go go and super clk projects, it made them both absolutely undrivable...the viper has a denso sard supra chassis, the clk is running on a F1 chassis...werner winkles speed 12 is using a 787b chassis with about 2.xx downforce, a little more in back than in front, and handles great...
