In all of sense, this sounds like a case of someone "being a pirate" on your PSN account. :scared:

That'd be the only way how you can piss Sony off pretty badly...

Im sorry, but if someone is going to buy somthing they want surely they would just have bought it themselves? No one is going to randomly guess emails and passwords. You clearly gave them your details.

None of this makes a bit of sense. Yes OP, call them. I'd be going through the roof if someone broke into my account, made fraudulent charges, and Sony wanted to nail me for that.

The fact that you don't seemed pissed at all makes me think this isn't what happened.

Technically but me or anyone else i know did not plan to buy those items.

Aha! Now the truth comes out!

You didn`t `plan to buy those items`, meaning you glitched/stole them, then Sony found out about your little scam & the muck hit the spreader.

Send the money & items back, get you account unbanned, enjoy playing online again & put this whole episode down to experience.

This doesn't make any sense. If they refunded you, why do they say they want the money back?

Now to your question. Time is money and $50 is cheap compared to all the time you must have put into GT5. If you have played for 100 hours, that's 50 cents per hour. Now to value your time we can compare it to what you would have earned if you spent that time doing something useful (like working). Say that an average wage is $15 per hour, that makes $15 x 100 hours = $1 500. So from an economic point of view, it could be argued that all your time put into GT5 is worth $1 500 and now Sony wants to "sell" that to you for $50. From an economic point of view it's quite a bargain to "buy" it back, rather than starting over (which would cost you another $1 500 in time to get back to where you were).

From a legal perspective, if it's indeed true what you claim, maybe you should just call them and explain what happened and get them to give your account back for free. Or else sue them for $1 500 (depending on how much time you spent on GT5).

From a "fun"-perspective, why not start over? It's a nice game, and it changed a lot scince release, must be quite a different experience to start over.

Presumably (and hopefully) sarcasm, but here we go anyhow...

Are you mad? You wouldn't even get your lawsuit far enough to even brush the judge's desk. Not to mention the lawyer's bill in the end totaling far over fifty bucks... even fifteen-hundred . Your defense would be something along the lines of wasting your life playing their product instead of working or going to school. And now you would now like to be reimbursed for it. A completely asinine suggestion I must admit :odd:

Back on topic, this wouldn't of had anything to do with "And one more question can you "Unlock"The DLC? I hear it alot around forums.[/QUOTE]"]unlocking" the DLC, would it of? Or the purpose of this thread? Going back to post #6, I must re-ask what shenanigans you may have been up to? You haven't really said anything to undoubtedly point out what you didn't do to cause a ban and apparent harassment. Seemed odd a week ago, and quite honestly still does.

So if I've got this straight:

1. Someone else used your account to buy stuff
2. You tell Sony and they give you a refund
3. They later change their mind and bar you from PSN until you pay back the refund
3a. Or was it because you were seen as late paying for the stuff they subsequently refunded you for?

Either way, it sounds bent to me. I know Sony have some really creatively odd policies, but are you sure?

If I'd not bought the stuff, or even if I had and changed my mind and got Sony to agree to a refund, I don't think I'd be inclined to pay up, but neither would I take it lying down.

Ok this is the last time i am going to say this:

You are correct about someone glitched/stole them but no one in the house or friend knows my password or email and i WAS NOT on the PS3 around
that date when i meant plan i meant no one told me that they were getting on my PSN and buy the items.

Yes 1-3a is true but i do not know why they need the money they gave me back.

It does wiff a bit this. It would go against trading laws this in theory. Because A) I imagine they have a refund policy and they clearly stated this as a refund not a loan which in this case it sounds like which is mis representation. Thats my two cents on the matter

Just had a thought. If someone hacked your account and purchased items... why are they still on your console? Isnt the idea of stealing to keep the item that has been stolen not give it away to someone else???

How does somebody return items purchased through the PS Store?

Could it be possible that Sony refunded the money on the condition that Stix deleted the purchased items? I know that several people on this forum had problems purchasing the GT5 DLC packages when they were released - they purchased the wrong pack or purchased them twice by mistake for example - so perhaps they could enlighten us as to how Sony rectified their situation.

If my account was hacked, i wouldn't ever consider using that account anymore. I'd feel safer starting again with a new account. Perhaps this thread is a wind-up! Either way, Stix needs to explain in greater detail what happened if he wants advice on this forum.

Well turns out im not gonna be playing GT5 for a while now since my stupid PS3 got the YLOD {Yellow Light Of Death}

Some December im having eh?

If you look at stix45 post history there is some mention of "unlocking" DLC. That might shed some light on the banning situation.
