This is getting quite frustrating.. after spending a bit of time searching both the interwebz and in particular this forum, I have yet to find a step by step DIY on how to restore from a saved game file. Nowhere in the options that I have when pressing triangle from either the saved game file folder or the saved game utility folder is there an option to restore....

any help would greatly be appreciated, even if it involves me being talked to like a 5 year old.
Thanks.

Its called copy..

If you have it back upped in a USB just go to

1.Save data
2. Select USB Memory and Press Triangle
3. Hit Copy and that is it.

To back-up your GT5 save game data, follow these steps in order:

1. Insert a USB memory device into your PS3 via the USB port.
2. Go to Save Data Utility, and open it.
3. Go to where it displays the GT5 logo.
4. Press the triangle button.
5. Press "Copy".
6. Select your USB device.
7. -PS3 copies the copies and sends the file to your USB device-
8. Take out the USB device.
9. Finished, and you now have a back-up copy of your GT5 save data.

Thanks, I'm looking for the process to restore the game from the usb to the game again.

  1. Insert USB stick
  2. Go to saved data utility
  3. There will be an icon at the top of the list, this is your usb
  4. click on that icon
  5. your GT5 save should be there
  6. press triangle
  7. press copy
  8. voila your done

Is this your first electronic device. Like if you followed the instructions some one posted above it is very easy to notice the USB icon then its just common sense on what to do.
