Restoring car to stock condition?

I did a search, but couldn't find an anwswer to this. I'm wondering if there is an easy way to restore all parts and mods to default stock condition? When I'm hotlapping (planning on some chart making ) I like to compare the cars as they come "from the box". Also, I was trying to remove some aero parts from my Mach 1, but I couldn't find a way to do this.

Any tips?

Also, when I buy new rims for a car, can't I restore the default rims?

You can restore the Rims, but for the update, it shows that some upgrades cannot br removed, i cannot help more on that matter though

You can remove areo parts at gt auto but you have to pay to have them removed same way you put them on.

I know carbon hoods cannot be removed at all lest that i could figure out. Engine upgrades cannot be undone. Nor can body lightning.

Just buy a new car from the dealership. Keep one stock, one upgraded.

How do you restore the stock rims? It seems that even if I'd like to change from one aftermarket wheel to another, I have to repurchase the first one. I also notice that you can't go back to using the stock hood, even though the tuning shop give no warning that it can't be undone, or at least, I can't seem to.

Go back to the wheel shop in GT Auto, and the first option should be to buy back the original rims. It will be a semi-circle with an arrow on it, rather than a wheel.

Yeah. The only way to get a car back to its box stock form is to make sure you don't buy any tuning options that the game warns cannot be undone after installation.

Yeah, but the game gave no such warning about the carbon fiber hood. Now I'm stuck with these ugly red quick releases:
