My newest splits look like this:

1'05.432

Still behind Dan at the line, but at least I have made a little space down to Sjaak. ;)

mazda's are so much fun to drive for some reason :dopey: and on a good track even better :sly:
 
All Right! I Finally got some motivation to play! 👍


It took a couple of hours but I got a 29.385 / 1.05.155 saved. This is really an addictive combo, and everyone's splits look really good! I couldn't get under 1.06 for the longest time, but finally cracked that chestnut.:dopey: If I can get on it tommorow, maybe a 1.04 will come my way.

I didn't see any setups, so I'll post mine. I don't think it matters too much as the car handles well stock, but here it is:

LSD 5/30/10

I left the brake balance alone and did the gear trick to 4.450.

Nice time, Todd. 👍 AND nice to know you at least had to struggle a little to beat our splits. :D Took me a LOT of racing to get, where I am now.

I'm driving with the stock setup, because the RX-8 feels very well balanced with the stock settings. And there's so many technically difficult (well, at least for me) sections on this track, so I figured times were spent much better racing rather than fiddling with an already nice working setup.

That's what I needed to learn every bend of this very difficult track.
And still my time is way back.

About the settings I'm with Niels.
It seems that in GT4 it is already well balanced unlike in GT3.
Nevertheless I tried all thinkable set ups just to get that extra tents.
With a poor outcome I must say.
When I thought it went well with one sector,the other sector was a drama.

My fastest time had these settings.
10-10
100-120
8-8
8-8
2,5-2
0-0
3-3
LSD default.

Gonna try Todd's settings now and if that doesn't do the trick I go back to all default. :boggled:

T1-29.626(often in the .3 but not in my fastest lap :crazy: )

Todd's settings are amazing if you would learn to fly :lol:

Wow 1.6 seconds from first to last.. Tough. Either you are all really fast or your all really slow ;)

We will see :) Seriously though I thought I could cruise around mid pack in this series till I hit form.. But there is no mid pack. I have never came last before and I never want to but I think this will be a fight for me. Can't wait for you guys to start posting race 2 sector times :)
 
Congrats jadaman, I knew you had me beat.👍 Everyone's times were very close, well done. I wish I would have gotten a chance to run a second time, I know there's plenty of 1'40's to be had. That was a fun combo to be sure, great choice! :) See you guys in Paris.:cheers:
 
Totally forgot to submit my time on this one :(. Had 29.2/1'05.4 and 1'40.9 for times. There were mid 1'04's to be had at t2 but that hill seemed to kill 90% of my laps.
