Retaining Best Lap Times. How?

Sorry guys, I need to ask an extremely dumb question. :ouch: How do you retain your best lap times w/o saving your ghost? I am new to the series and I wish i could see a list of my best times at a particular track and the cars I ran them in..... Is it possible?

Go to "Practice mode" and run a lap on the track, after that lap, go to "Standings" (icon of a white podium) and your best times will be there, however there's only space for the top ten best times, so if your time is higher than the 10th spot, it will not be saved, unless you delete them.
Once you get out of the track options, the game will save itself, (if you have auto-save on of course)

Actually, I believe that the podium is automatically updated, so that it records your top 10 fastest times in a given track. So as individual lap times are beaten, they fall off the bottom of the podium and are lost.

Yeah that's pretty much what I said, that if you go to "records" your best times will be there ;)

When you were saying "higher" it seemed to mean higher in the placement order, not physically higher as in a longer (worse) time.
