The nostalgic epic GT3 and GT4 songs.

Where are them?

Why GT5 doesn't have any good OST's or songs?

Can PD create some classic songs in GT6?

It adds a lot to the game IMO.

I agree. Partially. Honestly, GT5 has one of the best, most comprehensive soundtracks I've seen in a racing game, it fits the game perfectly in a variety of scenarios, why change that? Although, I agree that those songs were epic and that PD should also give us some songs that they made themselves, because, as the videos you posted prove, they were awesome.

When you said epic I was expecting this:

As for GT5, I find this to be the most epic song:

For GT6 I want this (although some of it has been claimed already be Renault):

I really don't get the fascination with Moon Over The Castle. It's just generic 80's metal done badly, something out of a Pokemon episode.

I want something as glorious as the GT4 intro. I still get goosebumps every time I watch it.

I also love classical music of course.

GT6 intro needs something with "power" in it, with feeling as well. PD knows how to make great intros...mostly EU versions.

The original soundtracks of GT games have usually been very strong (except for GT5). The licensed soundtrack you hear during gameplay, however, is almost always terrible. I loved hearing bands like The Cardigans, Ash, Soul Coughing, The Chemical Brothers, Garbage, and even Stone Temple Pilots in the first couple games. But after GT2 the music just became un-listenable. Thank god for custom soundtracks.

Talking about the original score though, these two have always been favorites of mine:

**** the buttons

Yeah, it's a really good tune, only beaten by Pnau-Baby Breakbot Remix(not so much epic though). Gran Turismo has always provided good music so I am looking forward to hear what GT6 has to offer.

C'mon. It's the goddamn GT theme since forever. I agree it's not the most fantastic piece of metal but it's great and it just smells like GT. Period.

All replacements except "My Favourite Game" and "Soul on Display" were massive fails IMHO.

Moon Over the Castle should be the GT Intro everywhere, PLUS: the garage music from GT2 and GT4 should be back... the whole garage concept is missing on GT5, it was so relaxing to listen to that nice and calm tune when looking at your cars.

GT5 Spec 2 got it right... not epic, just right.

These classic GT1-GT2 tunes are fantastic. Got all of them playing on my GT5 menus :D

Some from GT4 too, this one feels great:

And this one, everytime I listen to it, I got my mind travelling on GT4 GLORIOUS map... God, I loved that map... GT should keep that kind of structure forever IMHO.

Moon Over the Castle should be the GT Intro everywhere

It's not the GT theme to me or most Europeans because it's never been on a GT game for us, as far as I know. Can't remember GT1 but for me GT2 intro was The Cardigans, GT3 was Feeder, can't remember GT4 and GT5 was My Chemical Romance.

So they're not really replacements, we never heard it. I never heard it until I got online and people talked about it, then I wondered what all the fuss was about.

Actually, you probably could listen to a couple versions of it in GT4. If you look through the BGM library that's in GT mode, you'll find it eventually. Of course, if you don't like the song nor understand it; that's fine.

To stay on the subject. I would welcome any of the older GT tracks from the past in GT6. They were part of what got me into the franchise in the first place.

Ah yes, I can understand... here in South America we always got the US versions, but only after the first japanese copies arrived. So me and friends always played the original ones first, as it happened for a lot of people, I think it's why it's so special. but I can understand why it isn't for some of you. :)

I also never understood the obsession with Moon Over the Castle. I actually think it's semi-terrible. The US GT2 intro still stands as my favorite. I did not like the European remix of My Favorite Game at all. That song is perfect as-is.

Yeah I probably wasn't clear but I was just referring to the intro songs.

Yeah that remix wasn't good, really weakened the song, they should have stuck with the original as I believe they did in the actual game.

Yeah as I say I'd never heard that song until I saw people here and other communities mentioning it all the time as the Gran Turismo song and I found it strange that I'd never heard it. Then I learned about all the region differences.

I have the GT4 PAL version and it has 3 different versions of that song on the disc. It's used in the intro, just as in the other versions.

I almost agree with all you said.
IMO GT1(specially) and 2 did the best job in replacing Moon over the Castle. I think that GT1 intro was actually better in the US version than the one with Moon Over the Castle. Soul on Display was good but not excellent.
As for the great OST's I like the ones in GT1 better but overall the menu music in GT is always good. They give GT personality.

Not sure about other versions, but the UK version had Reason is Treason (Jacknife Lee Remix) by Kasabian as the second half of the intro. Great song.

Yeah, the second half was different in all 3 versions. PAL, NTSC and NTSC-J.

Yes, I like Disturbed, also metal, but not something that all people listen. I would also like something more techno-rock, something like the Test Drive 5.
