Gt4 was too godly. Not just the music, everything about it was great. especially for the track selection, I find gt4 better than 5 and still by far the best gt game made to date. There is a good chance 6 will be better though, that's what gt games do. The second game is always the good one while the first one is always rather crappy, but you still like it cause there's nothing better at the moment (gt2, gt4 the good ones).

If gt6 can repeat the greatness of 4 I'll be really happy. Also for some reason the reviews for the 4th game weren't the best while the game was the best one by far, it didn't make any sense at all.

These reviewers need to get slapped.

Yeah GT4 has the best menu music of all GT's.
That music reminds of how good GT can be and gives me goosebumps too hearing that again.:)

Yeah, GT4 and GT2 IMO have the best menu soundtracks and GT5 IMHO had the worst :yuck: the menu music of GT5 was nothing, not even closely related to it's predecessors and all the GT5 menu music sounded almost the same TBH.

Really hope GT6's are remixes of GT4 and GT2's tracks.

I couldn't tell you the title of one song on GT5. I turned of all music other than in the menu's and even then I limited it to some smooth jazz. For me the music in the game is irrelevant.

Yeah GT2's menu was good to,actually it still is!
Better than GT5's,it all does sound very similar, the only music I listen to is the classical stuff but that's not original to GT5 though.

The only problem with the custom tracks in GT5 is that I can't play them in online mode, that kinda annoys me. Of course, a few of the songs from GT over the years were quite memorable to me.

The tune shop theme from GT3 as an instance gets stuck in my head whenever I'm working on my car or thinking of modifying a car. XD

Not if mics are off, IIRC? (says the guy that never played GT5 at all :indiff:)

Oh, so that's why I sometimes could hear my custom songs and other times couldn't. Those darn people with headsets keep ruining it.

That tune shop theme is fantastic. Early GT games had music that just got you pumped, GT5 lost some of that enthusiasm. I kind of like lounge music, and the lounge music in GT5 wasn't half bad. For example this song:

Most of the jazz, on the other hand, put me to sleep. Sounds like Macy's around Christmas time:

It won't happen, but GT needs to take a straw from Race Driver Grid and make race OST's intense. This for example,

Don't really care about the OST, since we can play just put any music on the PS3 and play it in the game...

I really don't get the fascination with Moon Over The Castle. It's just generic 80's metal done badly, something out of a Pokemon episode.

Haha! That's a very accurate description of the original Moon over the castle soundtrack... And I completely agree with you. I think the song only worked as an opera version in GT4.

As for an original soundtrack in Gran Turismo... I think the tune (minus the 80's guitar) of Moon over the castle is fine, but I wouldn't want it played as an introduction to every game. The PAL versions of GT1, GT2 & GT3 all had amazing introductions. The 'Planetary (Go!)' song made GT5 one of the most painful introductions I have ever seen. It literally made my ears bleed... But luckily it was replaced in the 2.0 update. Soul on display was a far better replacement, but was still a poor choice when compared the previous GT games.

Polyphony Digital have completely lost their ability to pick a good intro song since GT3. I find it strange, considering the in-game driving music has been quite good.

I loved Daiki Kasho's survive from Prolouge ,infact I love most things about Daiki Kasho.

GT5 has a pretty decent soundtrack,I enjoy the menu tunes alot.

Panama, Kickstart My Heart, Are You Gonna Go My Way? Best GT songs in my mind.

Hot Rod Honeymoon from GT4 was also extremely catchy. And who can forget the classic license test failure, OHH YEAHHHH. Good times.

I loved the soundtrack of the first Gran Turismo, especially the tunes for the various dealerships.

I miss the good old GT1 sound when you cross the finish line too.

The first GT game for me was GT3, and hearing Daiki Kasho's remix of Lenny Kravitz's "Are You Gonna Go My Way" as the NA opening theme blew me away. Besides that, though, the rest of his GT3 stuff were alright.

Kasho's GT4 stuff with Dakota Star was pretty decent, however. "What to Believe" and "It's All About You" are my favorites out of them.

Then came his GT5 and GT5 Prologue stuff, which was some of the best music to ever grace my ears, "5OUL ON D!SPLAY" easily topping them. With Kasho at his best here, it couldn't get any more awesome than this with the vocals of Jon Underdown.

So really, I don't care about anything else. Daiki Kasho and Jon MUST return on GT6. That's that.
