Evening all

I was a pretty hefty GT player around time of release but ended up getting rid of my PS3.
Long story short, im getting GT 5 again and wanted to know opinions from you guys how different things are now from having to spend 9 days with your PS3 on just to complete the LeMans endurance?
Also is the online lobbys still good for trackdays? Or am I going to have to join a club?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It's a great game. It has a lot of flaws, both big and small, but it's still pretty darn good. I very much recommend joining some of the online events here on GTP, as they'll give you a much better experience than random online lobbies.

Grinding is still very much present, though the seasonal events makes it a lot easier to aqquire the cars you want. Menues have improved, and so have the physics. You'll have to give more specific questions if you want better answers though. :)

And welcome back I suppose.

How long were you away from GT5?

Welcome back to GTPlanet and to Gran Turismo. Of course, we will need to know roughly how long you was away from Gran Turismo 5 so we can know what's new to you. I guess you can still find good online trackday lobbies and you can still join a club on GTPlanet. Also, if you was away before the option of being able to suspend endurance races was available then that's new to you too.

Thanks for the replies.
I have not played it since around Febuary 2011.
Seasonal events had only just started. Aswell as remote manager mode.
And that was pretty much it, rumours were going around about the endurance saves but nothing confirmed.
Is the DLC cars any good?

The DLC cars are great if you're interested in the cars. Simple as that. I bought all of them, and I have no regrets. I get plenty of use out of them, and they are of course just as well made as the other premium cars.

Spa Circuit is one of the best tracks in the game, and the test track ain't bad either(though I personally think the latter should've been free).

I haven't purchased the newest DLC cars yet, but the fictitious set is pretty decent. They're actually very balanced race cars, but most of them feels too much the same to one another. By far the best DLC is Spa, obviously. The Kart Space track is TRON mockery, so you can use that course to satisfy neon-light fantasia and spot UFOs from your car.

If you got rid of GT5 when you sold your ps3 then get the XL version with all of the DLCs included. Lot cheaper than rebuying the game and only getting a few of the DLCs.
