Reverse not working.

This is really random, last night I was driving a BZR trueno and no matter what I did it wouldn't reverse. When I pressed triangle to switch to reverse it would go into gear, rev to about 1,000rpm then drop down to zero and the car didn't move. Has this happened to anyone else with this car or other cars? It wasn't my controller, I tried out a different car and it reversed like normal.
 
This happened to my friend while we were racing. I don't remember the specific car, but it's probably a glitch that pops up now and again. Doesn't happen often, though. Or maybe a Mazda transmission found its way into your Trueno. Those are notorious for acting like reverse is engaged when it actually isn't. (Personal experience) :)
 
There is a glitch where this happens. If using manual and reverse fails, shift up to the final gear give it full revs, take it back to first and Voila. should be ok.
