Are you kidding?
The last few weeks, Iv'e really eaten alot of rice pudding, but I never used to like it. It's suddenly grown on me, and I've eaten about 4 tins in 3 weeks.
Does anyone else really love it?
👍 👍

Reminds me of tapioca pudding. I have tried it and some times its really really good and other times its kinda bland. Any suggestions to make it better or how do you have it?

Cinnamon sprinkled on stop:D

Gorgeous....

Rice pudding is good stuff when it's well made. A little Vietnamese cinnamon sprinkled on top makes it perfect.

Rice pudding ownz man! I love it with semolina and strawberry jam. My mum makes the baddest home made pudding with nutmeg added, damn good food.

Same here, great on these rather cold winter nights too :)

It's good, but not everday. I'd get a little sick.

Never had rice pudding. Is it really made with rice?

Yeah. All you get from the rice is the viscosity and texture, though.

tapioca pwns....
Damn right! I just had me some!

Rice pudding is grand, and so is bread pudding. All pudding is fantastic. I even love blood pudding.

INGREDIENTS:
3 quarts pork blood
1-1/2 pounds raisins
1-1/4 pounds sugar
1 pound mixed nuts & chestnuts
3/4 pound rice--cooked
2 oranges with all rind
1 pound figs
1 teaspoon red pepper
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons salt
bay leaf

DIRECTIONS:

Mix all and bake in oven for one (1) hour.

COMMENTS:
This pudding was made when the hogs were slaughtered
on the farm.
Although this may sound strange to us today,
"Blood Pudding" was a common dish during the earlier
part of this century. When a hog was slaughtered,
nothing went to waste.

Hot or cold, cooked rice in a creamy type cream I suppose. Thats all it is but then you can add all types of flavourings.

Cold cooked rice, dump it in a bowl and whack some milk in. That's how I eat it - I don't even know if it IS rice pudding, all I know is, it's tasty! :D

I could eat THAT mutation of it any day, all day. I could live off it if it was possible to. :sly:

Rice pudding + a dollop/squirt of golden syrup. Teethtastic!

Reading your signature there mate - FIVE natural moons? Please elaborate; I'm afraid we're not on the same page here.

Sorry about going off topic, I couldn't find a better way to ask this.

It does. 50% rice pudding, 50% jam... mmm. Tasty as.

Peaches and cream in rice pudding isn't so good though.

Rice pudding is excellent. I think that Nutmeg is the vital ingredient (other than rice and milk, obviously)

Hmm .. I've never had rice pudding either. But from everything I've read in the thread so far it looks like I'm going to be forcing my mom to make some when I get home for Christmas in 15 days. YAY! I hate exams.
