Hey all'''

Feeling a bit uncomfortable when driving any car with right steering wheel, can't get the lines right, miss apexes, run wide, etc... is that an issue for any of you, or it's just me?

Also, it would be nice if PD gave us option for the right/left side steering!

I love driving an Aston Martin or GT-R, but it's a huge disadvantage for me, especially on Nordschleife!

What do you think?

Well, this is odd to me because i thought all non- american cars had right hand, but this is not true. I play 3rd person so no, it doesn't bother me 👍

Not really for me. I always tend to stare at the middle portion of the screen, so it really doesn't offset me.

It used to bother me quite a bit, but after a fee thousand miles I usually forget what side I'm on because I concentrate hard. Occasionally I'll notice that I'm on the right side and itll throw me off for a few laps until I get used to my apex points again.
Now the mclaren f1 is a different story, nice but sort of weird. :sly:

Interesting question.

For me it doesn't really matter , I am focusing on the track and what's around me. Getting the miles grinded in GT5 will improve that for you though , i've driven over 30,000 miles now ( not including B-Spec which as far as I can see is added to your total mileage driven by the way ) .

Good luck in your driving .:)

i have learned it in old ToCA 2 from 98, so i dont have bigger problem with it. Your solution might be sit in McLaren F1 ;)

I'm with you, Sputnik, right hand drive bugs me, too. So much that I don't even bother with cockpit view on those cars, but I think the best antidote for this has already been suggested; just get in there and grind the hell out of it. I may try this myself.

Just wanted to post and let you know you're not alone. :sly:

It bothers me but I deal with it. Besides I tend to constantly switch through views througout a race, so I don't spend the whole time in cockpit. Whenever I reach a technical part or have cars around me I go into third person.

I think an easy way to get adjusted to it is to drive a kei car then progress through to the bigger, wider Japenese sportscars and supercars.

Then again, I rarely use cockpit cam, and when I do, as long as it ain't center steering, I adapt after a minute or so.

I use the cockpit view sometimes and it doesn't bother me when I'm driving say a GT500 car. You still got to hit your marks and all that. I'd like to get to the Autobahn someday and drive a european car as fast as I can lol.

When you first drive a Right hand drive car, it's definitely weird, but over time you get used to it: I can drive a right hand drive lotus elise, and then immediately after, drive a left hand drive dodge viper, no problem. All I can say is keep at it.

On a side note,

DA_dogg mentioned GT500 cars; I find that the cockpit view of the GT500 NSX's provides a limited field of vision and it's kind of hard for me to hit the apexes, but once I get into a rhythm, it's fine.

I hate the view out of the super gt nsx's. I can never hit my marks and it really frustrates me because they handle so good if I could consistently hit the apexes.
