Fastest electric supercar, definately earns a place in Gran Turismo in my opinion. ;) It might not be the best looking supercar (it still looks good though I think) but it's coming pretty close to the Bugatti Veyron in terms of performance (only topspeed is electronically limited at 305 km/h). It's definately proving that an electric drivetrain is capable of beating an internal combustion engine. Has great range as well if you somehow manage to drive this car slowly. :P

Some more info about this car in this video.

And some specifications.
  • Power output: 1088 hp
  • Torque: 1600 Nm from 0 to 6500 rpm
  • Acceleration: 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) 2,8 seconds
  • Range: up to 600 km (realistic range – 500 km)
  • Weight-to-power ratio: 1.79 kg/hp
  • Weight distribution: 42% front, 58% rear
  • Total length: 4548 mm
  • Total width: 1997 mm
  • Total height: 1198 mm
  • Ground clearance: Rear: 115 mm, Front: 105 mm
  • Wheelbase: 2750 mm.
  • Dry weight: 1950 kg
Even though the name says concept it's actually being produced (hand-made) but it's made to order because of the pricetag of $980K. ;) They produce almost all of the parts for this car in-house.

I don't mind if it'll be in GT6 or not, but I'll be very sad if they won't include it in GT7. ;) PD definately has interest in electric/hybrid cars as there are quite a lot of them in GT6 already. So I'm hoping they're interested in getting the Rimac Concept_One into the game as well.

Here's a nice quick video of the Rimac Concept_One vs Ferrari 458 Spyder.

The Ferrari driver does seem a bit slow though but still great to actually see that amazing torque of the 4 electric motors in the Rimac.

They made one in blue, looks a lot better in my opinion. :D

And some onboard video. It's not as silent as the usual electric cars, I actually like how it sounds.

Keep voting if you like this car and want to see it in Gran Turismo! :)

I bet if this car were in GT6, the speed of this car will be unrealistically high, like 400+km/h as opposed to its 305km/h limit.

Rimac Automobili is a Croatian company that develops and produces high-performance electric vehicles, drivetrain and battery systems. Rimac Automobili's first model, the Concept One, is known as the world's fastest production electric vehicle

The Rimac Concept_One's body is made from exposed carbon, that not only indicates its production technology and materials, but also help the car to keep a very low weight.

The bodyside features a unique, symmetrical appearing feature that gives the car a strong identity and clear distinction, while the duct is the abstraction of the tie, that is an original Croatian product.

The concept’s interior is the work of the leather-specialists Vilner. They have developed a driver-focused interior, with the cabin tailors designed around the driver, while the high-end infotainment system keeps the driver entertained and informed about the vehicle’s systems.

The Concept_One uses a unique powertrain divided into the front and rear sub-system, each of them including two symmetrical motor-controller-reduction-gearbox units. This system will control each wheel independently. This system develops a total of 1,088 HP and 1080.1 lb/ft of torque and will sprint the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 2,8 seconds, while top speed has been limited to 305 km/h.

Croatian car needs to be represented in Gran Turismo. And Driveclub also showed it's possible to get a license from Rimac.
DriveClub got one of the best car lists a video game could get, it's full of cool obscure cars people have hardly ever heard of. 👍

It probably only loses to Gran Turismo 2.
