May Activision burn in hell for eternity.

Bless you, creators of one of the greatest racing game franchises.

The Stupid thing is...it's Activision's fault that they're going under, as well. They didn't really do an awesome job promoting their games. I mean, Blur could have been a breakout hit, really, and Bloodstone was a decent game for BC's first Bond game. It's not that Bizarre did poor quality work, it's that Activision did do their JOB in promoting the game.

And they probably didn't do a great job in trying to sell BC, either with them working with Bungie and NASCAR. I hope both those games fail so that everyone can see how crappy Activision is.

I still have hopes that some of them may band together and start a new development company. Either that, or Microsoft will acquire the ones still looking to be active and make a new division out of it.

But, yeah, Activision really didn't know what to do with them and I don't know why they agreed to the buyout to begin with. They would have been better off maintaining privateer status.

It is sad to see an established team go down under. Activision should have given more support and should really done a better job of advertising it.

That advert is just asking for people to boycott their product, there is a lot of people who like Mario Kart which includes myself and in sales it is the top dog.

They targeted Blur to be the call of duty for racers but got a huge flop in sales with sales less than a million including all platforms.

Activision seem to be worse than Microsoft in their cut-throat nature. They didn't give them even a second chance. If Call of Duty trend declines, Activision could be in serious trouble. Sony then followed by Nintendo seem the best place for developers to have a more relaxed environment. They also are thinking of longer term goals in my opinion with the studios they work with and the IP's they have. Microsoft in my opinion are thinking short term like Activision, they lost Bungie and are now resulting to buying exclusivity to keep them relevant. Turn 10 and Lionhead Studios are their only highly established 1st party studios, Rare a former great is a shadow of its self.

I can see both Activision and Microsoft both struggling heavily next-generation to stay relevant if they just keep on thinking about short term profit and not thinking of developing a wider array of IPs and studios they can rely on to develop these new games.

They made one of my favorite PS1 games:

Formula 1.

Well, my friend, you got your wish.

They're currently hiring.

That's just fantastic. :)

Good for them. Hope we see some new games from these guys soon.

Me too. I like their moto: For fun, quality, and simplicity. Because it's how it feels that matters. And really, it's something we all know they can deliver on. Even 007 FELT right. It really FELT like a bond movie. Blur FELT awesome...yeah. it was mario kart with licensed cars, but it didn't feel like it. More like PGR with power ups.

Their games feel good, and really, they all fit their motto. Maybe we'll see another PGR from them.

THAT is what I am hoping too, but please for the next-gen-consoles. Just imagine a PGR with Direct X12, fast processor, 8GB main and 2GB video memory.
