seperate tracks get seperate mp3's. I normally don't rip the whole CD though, just the songs I like.

because i really want to have my black sabbath reunion CD MP3s joined, the separate tracks are a joke, its a whole live set, with like index marks.

I use audiograbber to rip CDs.

I think theres a program that will do it for you. Dont know what its called, but if i need to join 2 together, I use musicmatch to convert them back to *.wav, then use the simple voice recorder(included with windows) to join them, then convert them back to MP3. Supossedily(sp?) you lose quality, but I really dont notice.

audiograbber sucked when i had it, to low of a quality level.

i need something freeware, and good.

Works fine for me. I rip 'em all at 256 kBits Joint Stereo with the LAME encoder.

it will only let me rip half at a time, i need to rip all 9 songs on the CD to one MP3.

i just got a freeware prog called cd-da x-tractor, its working so far.

Depending on your sound card... I know that SBLive and SB Audigy cards have a "record" feature. With this record feature, you can set the input source to "What You Hear"....

Hit record, and play you CD.. What ever you hear out your speakers is what will be recorded...

More than likely, this will be a wav file around 640-650mbs in size. Straight though, no stops in the file.. That's one huge audio file. You can then use various utilities to convert the wav to a mp3.

I hope this helps...

BTW - if you had a audio editing software, you could load each individual mp3 or wav into one file, shove each track end to end within the software, and save it as a single track file...
