Rivals Mode

Tried Rivals mode in the demo just a bit ago. Wasnt too impressed, just because of the slower cars. Good concept, but seemed very NFS.

I know that the other modes will use rivals alot better. I love Autolog from Shift, and replaying career events to get better times is going to be great in FM4, but I can do without the street races against traffic.

Rivals mode is definetly the highlight of this demo. So dang fun and so addictive. The Zonda sounds and drives incredible!!

I was surprised with the Zonda. That thing crackled like a wild wildabeest! I'm going to start adding a bunch of people now! Can't seem to get a clean lap on the M5 though, and not anywhere close to PZR's time.

Managed a pretty good laptime with the Zonda beast ! Didn't try the other cars for the moment though, I'm really time-attack-addicted. Unfortunately I'm only playing with a controller waiting for my GT2 Fanatec.

Yeah that Zonda sounded crazy awesome especially at high rpms. I was actually sweating during some of those races trying to chase down my rival. Just a complete addrenaline rush!!!

I also could not get a good clean lap with the M5. But I had a blast trying. The M5 race reminds me a lot of the PGR car passing challenges and it also reminds me of NFS Hot Pursuit with all the traffic.

I'm absolutely loving rivals mode, with cars or without.

As I'm weaving in and out of traffic (just like my commute to and from work. ) I keep imagining how much fun that will be on Fugimi Kaido

I just hope nobody beats some of my times. I don't care about being number 1 overall but, it sure does annoy me when 1 person has everything on my leader-boards. Its like compelling me to beat them!

Rivals mode is very addicting! I had a blast last night running times against my friends on the leader boards, chasing and passing their ghosts! I'm looking forward to this feature the most. I wish gt5 has something like this!

Do you know the total number of people who entered? I might attempt to run this if I can get Xbox Live Gold but I think I will be two seconds off at best as I can't change the controls and I'm much better with a wheel. Can you watch other people's replays?

You battle against that rivals ghost. You are battling the replay. Its awesome.

I think the car is a bit too opaque for my liking, so I usually watch a fast ghost from some distance then when actual hotlapping I choose a very slow ghost.

Quite a lot of people then. The number will probably grow quite a bit still though.

So it is like racing ghosts like on most other games then? It is a shame you can't view the replay then, to see how the other drivers are driving so fast. It usually helps me get within several tenths / a second off the fastest on short tracks.

This Rivals mode is just way beyond addictive! I worked on a couple autocross events and last time I checked I was 22nd in the world. But I am sure that has changed by today. Still feels good to be up that high in the leaderboards again. Reminds me of my autocross days in F1 when I used to struggle to stay in the top 10 in the world.

Just loving Rivals mode. So addictive, intense, and enjoyable. 👍
