Yeah it was weird. But man is Spa just awesome!

I had so many close calls, it sucks doubly that the room blew up 'cause I couldn't save the replay. I made so many hair passes and this one amazing pass on Sifer coming right after Eau Rouge. Sick.
 
I just wanted to run that fabled 1:11, I've gotten as low as 12.1 earlier in the week, it's there, trust me. :D
 
Would love to run with you next week, but probably gonna be working most of the weekend :(
That, and I'm gonna need a better set-up; whatever I put together quickly would understeer like crazy, but won't let me apply power until very late.

no, for some reason it wouldn't let me follow someone into someone else's lounge. Apparently it only works for public rooms or a lounge that you already have on your friend list.
 
Well it was fun yesterday while it lasted.

Mini-race report:
Not too much to report. I was lucky to go from third to first at the first turn. For the first 3 or 4 laps, Nepalli and I seemed to break free from the rest of the pack. I was able to keep him about 2 seconds behind me. Just out of draft range. I think he must have had an off after that, because the 2 second lead turned into 10 seconds.

By the time my house guests arrived, I was on lap 10 and had over a 17 second lead. I pulled into the pits and exited out of the race. I was so "tunneled" in, I didn't even realize a bunch of you had already lost connection to the room by that point.

Hopefully we can get this race in again. I don't know if I can run it that well again though. I overshifted a couple of times, but never put a tire in a wrong spot. I didn't run wide once, and stayed within the lines and rumbles. Which I have found is sometimes difficult at this course at a good pace.

I am looking forward to many more races at Spa. Hooray for DLC. One more day.
 
Stupid PSN won't process any of my credit cards so they are forcing me to spend 25 bukzzz on a Network Card thing so I can leave 13 of it in there un refundable bank. How convienent for them. They get broken into and now they cry "Were haveing trouble processing some credit cards" Yah right, but am I going to tie the money up GERrrrrr....... yes. I don't know what there phoney cash card is all about but I guess I'll find out, I have never had anyone refuse my cards before but I guess stupid doesn't discriminate even megaopolis corporations like SONY....... no baloney :banghead:

I got mine for 20$ even at walmart, not even tax. $20.00
Of course, when more DLC comes out I'll have 8 bucks left in case I want something else. ;)


Hopefully we can get a good (full) running with these Vettes at Spa this Sunday. :)

My 217'z need some work but hopfully I can get it down to 13 or a 14, maybe 👍

here you go... actually quite happy with the car.
easy to drive 2:13's with 2:12 if your really get on it.
added bonus... it's not using anything wacky; don't know if it's just spa or if the patches helped. But the car felt a ton better without the jacked up front end sillyness.
I have a feeling it's just spa, because softening the rear end should naturally do the same under all the aero load.

caveat... not sure how bonkers the draft is going to be. might drop the final drive to 3.0 to be safe.

I didn't know you could get hurt in "Kart Space," GT5 must me the most realistic simulator :lol:

Also I was wondering why you use Kpm rather then Mph on your TS?

that sounds like a bug in the settings sheet. i drive in mph... *shrug*
I'm just watching the Indian GP right now; looks like we're probably not racing eh?

ok.

Oh by the way good Dr. :) I was able to apply your setup on-line and went faster then my-off line time and hit a low 15. Thaks alot, I'm still struggling w/ my consistancy and the tire ware so that I get a feel for when the drop off occurs and how flat the drop off point is and when the point of unmanagability occurs and it's pit stop time. 👍

He only made 2 posts today to my knowledge, apparently got pretty bruised up in the go-kart crash, said he wouldn't be doing any racing at all today.

Maybe another time we can do some kind of one-time race or something, I know me, Wardez, and I think most people from this series are booked in FMSC for the next few weeks on Sunday nights now.
