Congrats you've found a glitch!

If you take a photo with the car back-firing, then save as a film, and develop it later - the backfire is no longer there. I think the film just records car position, camera position, car/track combo, and whether the brakes are on and steering movement, rather than saving an actual image.

I'm am tempted to drive the wrong way past that two way traffic sign and hit the A.I, they were warned! can't be bothered though.
