hello guys. For some reason i have a desire to make a "rocket" car.
With that i mean a relatively normal car that can get an insane amount of power. Preferably something that handles a little rubbish or at least not very well. And RWD of cause. :dopey:
I know it is a weird question, but i hope you guys can help me out :)

That's very hard, depending on what you mean by "Rocket". If you want it to go as fast as a "Rocket", only hacking would work, but that's illegal.

It's a very weird question. I don't even see a question mark.

I think he's looking for a "sleeper" in Americanese, or what Brits might call a Q-ship i.e a slow looking car that's really fast.

Edit: TREED!

Wow that rocket trolley there looks good! did you find that in the used car dealership? :D
Anyway.. I am looking for a hugely powerful car, thats where the "rocket" comes in. Some rwd car with a stupid amount of power you can't really use because the chassis and the tyres can't take it. That is what i am looking for. I hope i cleared up some of the confusion :)

I bought a Dodge Charger Super Bee Hemi 428 (can't remember the exact name but I know it was a Super Bee Hemi) from the UCD and that thing is just hell on wheels as is. Maxes out at around 800 bhp. Sport Tires? Forgetaboutit! Fun drive though if you are looking for something insane. :)

Try the Dodge Viper. You can get over 900 hp out of it, it's RWD, and a beast to handle... at first. After driving it a while, you'll learn how to control it... unless you use comfort tires! 👍

Uuuh i have tried the speed 12, that was absolutely crazy. I might give it a go again, back when i tried it first i was looking for something that handled well. Which it didn't so i forgot about it. A dodge viper and a Carger? I will definitely try them out. Thanks guys.

The RUF yellow bird fits the bill. As it has already been mentioned ,loads of power, rear wheel drive and she is very very tail happy.

Since not many people grasp your question check this thread

The question seems to be about Sleepers not vipers and supercars, but normal everyday cars with abnormaly good performance.

To be fair, the OP said "relatively normal". In order to get a beast of a car, you must start with a relatively beastly car. The cars in the list of sleepers will never be a hard to handle rear wheel drive rocket beast car. Hmmm, that was rather long, let's simplify "HHRWDRBC".

What about the Buick special 62? It looks like any other old American car but can tune up to massive horse power, is rear wheel drive and a bit of a beast to get round the corners at speed.

sadly that's probably the closest you're going to get to normal looking with uber horsepower and "rubbish handling" but I suped one up on my brothers account and it really is not all that powerful and can't turn well because of it's weight.. it's also not aerodynamic though so that doesn't help either :P

Your other choices would be..
1970 Ford Mustang Trans-Cammer
SL 65 AMG (R230) '04
SLR McLaren '03
Cerbera Speed 12 '00

though they start looking more and more modern, these are all front mount engines also, mid mounts look even less typical.. you do realize though that rockets, actual rockets, put out some ridiculous amount of thrust.. not even comparable to a combustion engine..

If you weren't asking for RWD I'd say the SRT4. You can get an incredible 600+hp out of it. That thing goes like stink but certainly doesn't look it.

The OPTION 350z can get 800hp but it does look like it would go fast.

The easy answer to this is a maxed Viper ACR with 1000+ bHP.

Other stupidly overpowered RWD machines include Enzo Ferrari, TVR Cerbera Speed 12, Corvette ZR-1, and so on. The degree of ridiculousness boils down to how you tune it and which tires you choose. Have fun! :)

If you want a insanely fast car that doesnt steer, go for the Shelby Cobra. Not really a sleeper, but its outrageously fast and mine even does wheelies when started in 2nd gear. Then it really handles badly! But for a sleeper I would go with the Nissan 240, its pretty damn fast.
